hahahaha, what a bunch of weak dildos, you'd figure with all that 8000 grams of protein per day they could at least do real chinups.

If someone has to do that because they can`t do a fucking pullup then they just suck.

The clown legging pressing 1000 for 4" reps was pretty amusing. Dante can't be too happy with these videos.

hahaha.........weighted rack chins?? WTF!
 ::)

If you can pull a portion of your bodyweight + added weight, wouldn't it make more sense to just do normal chins.

Everybody is looking for short cuts.........can't these guys just do normal lifts with a full ROM and progressively increase the weight???

Cant be too happy? I dont own intensemuscle (2 other guys do) I just have a single forum there where I post.
I dont know who these guys are, are they doing DC training? If so I have no control of who does my methods and how they go about it
(all i saw was intensemuscle on the one (first) video I looked at, that could be any forum over there)

it's just offered as an altervative, just something new to try.  It's not written in stone that you have to use them but if you're stale on a movement what doe it hurt to try them?  I've never done them but who knows if they work or not, I wouldn't know until I started doing them.....lots of guys swear by em.

I just looked at the 3rd and 4th video's...bigcity and ronharris...both good guys.....if you guys dont understand the concept of the rackchins Im not going to even bother trying to explain it to you (its a heavier and heavier progressive weight concept) because lets bottom line it shall we..you really dont want an explanation......this is the "bitch site"...meaning people like to bitch and complain and whine and put down everyone and everything in the sport over here.....it makes them feel good I guess.....that bores the living hell out of me....I can go to the local grocery store and stand in line and hear old ladies bitching about something if that was of interest.

whose got my record for trainees on rack chins? Dave Henry I think he got something like 165lbs in his lap for 22 reps....seen his back lately?

Im serious here, please can you explain...or link me to a website that CLEARLY explain about the concept of rackchins.

It just seems stupid to reduce half your bodyweight and then put more weight on your legs, wouldn't it just make sense to do a regular chin or pullup?

I would guess he's explained it at www.intensemuscle.com.
You can go there to the "dogg pound" for most DC based questions and conversation.

If it makes sense to do a regular pull up or chin, then go ahead and stick with those.  I think Dante would say the same thing.
Dante feels that there is benefit to that form of chinning, and a lot of people agree.  It's probably not for everyone, but if some people feel they get benefit from it, I say go for it.

IMO, Rack Chins are a very useful movement for those who can't do regular Chinups. This way the beginner or fat person doesn't have to resort to the inferior Lat Pulldowns. I think eventually the goal with these should be to improve Chinup strength so one is able to do it with bodyweight. Otherwise it's a waste of time.

What's his form like though? The clips I've seen of him training he uses very short range of motion. My guess is that as his poundages went up, and he "beat the logbook", the range of motion got shorter and shorter. Maybe you've seen the set(s) on video or in person?

Do the large rack chin strength increases usually carry over to other lat pulldown exercises (regular chins, machine pulldowns)? My guess is probably no. That would indicate a change in form.

if they're anything like his "rack deadlifts" they're horrible, he pulled the bar 3 inches max on those.

A rack chin is a variation much in the same way an incline press is a variation of a flat barbell press.  Varitey is good to help prevent stagnation.  If you want to be big and strong it is wise to incorporate variety in your routine.

I have nothing against them really. I just suspect that the large strength increases some are claiming on these are a bit misleading.

Adding another plate to your hip belt when doing regular chins takes a long time. If it happens at all.

ya but rack deadlifts at least have some purpose.  If you do them properly (below knee level) they will cut most hamstring and glute stimulation, and isolate the entire back.

rackchins look (key word:look.  i've never tried them so i cant say) useless to me.  You're basically cutting off half your bodyweight, and replacing it with added weight.  Its pointless.

i guess i have to try them before to see what the fuss is all about

He never explains anything, so don't waste your time. It's simple, he basically took Mentzer's HIT program, tweaked it, incorporates Parrillo's stretching routines that he pioneered in the 80's, claims it to be his own methods and charges $500 for the "info".

He was embarrased along time ago on this board when multiple threads were pulled from his the Doggpound on Intensemuscle, with kids saying their DC diet contained 600g of protein and they weighed about 175. He made all of them edit their posts and didn't show face for awhile around here.

He's never posted any pic of anyone he's worked with that doesn't look like a bag of smashed assholes other than his completely drugged out pro or national competitor or 2.

Oh ya, he just happens to own a protein company.   ::)

You do not build lats with the chest being CONCAVE, in those vidoes the position of the legs puts the chest in a concave manner.  To properly build the lats the chest must be held high and out with the back arched - those rack chins are a waste of time !!!!!!!!!!

WHats so sad is that the rack chins arent even that....  on almost every rep all the guys didnt even bring their chin over the bar.

RackChin: We have taken the Pull up , changed the name to Rack Chin, made it easier by reducing the overall load of the lift and on top of that we dont even bring our chin over the bar.... but we still call them rack chins.
*** If you dont think these will pack slabs of muscle on your back then look at this pic of a geneticly gifted Pro bber who uses boat loads of gear and comes off cycle maby 1 month a year. His picture proves RACK CHins will build a massive back***

Parillo invented stretching in the 80's?  I could have sworn people were stretching before then.

Go try to do some of the parillo stretches sometime....look up his skin the cat stretch.  Have fun pulling that one off.  Parillo didn't invent fascia stretching there were university studies talking about the advantages of stetching the fascia, Parillo was the first guy to write about it in a BB publication.

I dont use them as a mass movement, its usually towards the end of my workouts when i use them  You feel every muscle in your entire back just crush together like there is nowhere for them to go and they are going to explode

Like I said earlier, I've never used them.  I train alone so adding weight in that position would be a pain in the ass, I know some guys do it but I haven't really tried them.

People need to understand that just because you've never done a movement doesn't mean it's garbage, it's just a different way of lookin at things, it's an alternative.  I love how people are like "well just do pullups"...ok, how many of you guys do lat pulldowns?  Prolly all of you and you're fine with them but you dog this out?  Really what's the difference?  Pulldowns are just a variation of pull ups just like rack chins are a variation of the pull up.

Why does DC get a pass for not giving out specific diet information, but I don`t?    hahahahaa Answer me that one Al.

because he's trained guys that are national level BBers and you haven't.  I thought we had a truce but if you really want to go there.  You've told more lies than pretty much anyone on this board.  Why should anyone who knows anything about you give you the benefit of the doubt?  Let's see...you've got almost 20" arms...you've deadlifted 225 for 113 reps and said over on MD that you could do it right not but you just won't post a video.  Youv'e got all these huge announcements that never, ever seem to go anywhere.  Bottom line is you're liar that's why you don't get a pass.  Anytime anyone questions you all you do is cut and paste a billion things from google.  Troopinin questioned you and all you can say is "your wrong".  It's a joke.  Didn't you post that you've worked with pro athletes?  who are they?  another lie.

Once you've trained as many guys as Dante has and have the reputation that he has everywhere but here then you get the benefit of the doubt until then why should anyone give you that?  You have so many gimmick accounts going at all times how can anyone take you seriously?

you're so caught up in your internet persona that you blew your chance to be in MD...it's almost laughable cause you've been talking about being in the mags for as long as I can remember and you had your shot and blew it and now all you can do is rag ramano.  What did you think was gonna happen?

9/10 of the things you say are for effect.  You try to get a rise out of people and it works, you don't care what you say or do, I coudl probably list every lie you've told but I don't have the time.  You don't care what you say or what you do as long as you have people talking about you...honestly if you had a better track record for telling the truth than maybe I'd give you a pass.

Notice I don't question a guy like disqusted cause he has a legitimate track record as do guys like troopinin but everytime they question you you say "your wrong" and that's it.

YOu just don't have any credibility.  Sorry.

oh, yeah.  Just for the record I haven't said a thing about your diet in weeks on this or any other board, I don't even know what you have going on anymore.  Last thing I read was in the "disgusted" thread a few weeks ago or so.......I held up my portion of our "truce".
