Must have been the single most painful thing ever, whole body cramping up and there is
nothing you can do.
The question is, was it primarily down to the type of drugs he was using to dehydrate that
caused this and could it happen again?

his posing was shit....when he posed he used to tremble and did weird "movements"....

I guess it could happen again, but for all the talk about todays pros being so unhealthy, the guys in the 90's were probably even worse. There seemed to be more "experimenting" with diuretics and what not back then...

Back then they were most obsessed with the conditioning though, not that it's really any better.

Yeah, and that is often the most dangerous part, trying to get that crazy conditioning that more of the guys had back then.

Paul visited the MuscleMag offices late last week. He's doing well. Says he has no interest to weigh 300 pounds again.

dillet froze onstage, and although all the Arnold classics are recorded and aired, this one was never shown...it's an embarrassment
Munzer died shortly after the Arnold...so before airing it on ESPN, they edited out any parts with Munzer in it, even though he made top six

I know Andreas was 6th at the 1996 Arnold. He was dead withinn 2 weeks. When the 96 ASC was on TV later that year, they didnt even mention Andreas' name or show him pose. They didnt even show him recieve his check/placing. It was pathetic. I hope that wasnt Arnold's Idea. Arnold was one of the announcers for NBC.
Recently, Mustaffa Mohammed has pressed his luck with diuretucs. He was warned about it too.

I was at the show, a couple of seats over from Shawn Ray and Flex Wheeler. As soon as Paul started cramping and not long after his complete body locked up, Flex was yelling "Suck it in baby". Guess Paul was in too much Pain to "Suck it in". ;D
The crowd was in shock when they carried Paul off stage. He was so cramped they just leaned him over and carried him off. No stretcher was needed, he was as stiff as a board.
