Cause and Effect.  Are they successful because they are optimistic or optimistic because they were successful?

Let's be a little more positive, okay  :D

I get that.

A small "cutting meal" is the equivalent to having sex, but not being able to blow your load.

Id rather just not.

thanks man.
lol,i entirely and throughoutly underestimated how bad this one would be, esp the recovery, the leg feels and looks machinegunned. ;D

i dont overly value health, but i dont take ridiculously stupid risks and hope for the best, but every time after surgeries one is frounded to reality and learns to apreciate it a bit more again.

yeah believe or not, my fav exercise is simply jogging, its terrible not being able to do that.
yes, but they are happier, this is almost philosophical, ie whats the purpose etc.

this forced happynes from prozac is weird, though.
i know, but i see it more like this, being happy to been granted an existence within the top5% of the world population standards.

i dont see me dethroning the rothschilds or anything this lifetime ;D

exactly,

Confused? I thought you had a bad shoulder? It's your leg?

Life isn't innately enjoyable for me.

I could be in intense pain, I accept that. But I could also be dead.

Sometimes being dead seems like the favourable option to continuing to live.

But I'm trying to embrace your attitude galeniko, your emotional resolve is deeply admirable. It's how you frame things in your own mind that allows you to derive pleasure from an experience after all.

I remember something about Buddha saying a glass of water to a man dying of thirst in the desert tastes like heaven on earth. You compare that to a guy getting up from a couch to get a glass of water from the kitchen sink, and the water tastes no different, but the thirsty guy in the desert derives infinitely more pleasure from it. Ok now I understand you're thinking the guy is relieving his thirst, of course he's going to be happier with the glass of fucking water, but also in a perceptual sense the man in the desert has learned to truly appreciate that glass of water.

What am I saying here? That we need to learn to appreciate the little things. I'm trying to come around to that line of thinking.

In today's society it's easy to get focused on what we have *not*. We're constantly bombarded with images of people more beautiful than we are, with hotter girlfriends, more money, bigger dicks (if you watch as much shemale porn as I do (nah that's a joke, only the n**gers have bigger dicks than i do)), better friends, faster cars, access to higher quality cocaine (I just watch wolf on wall street; damn I was jealous of all the coke they were railing). The point is, the moment you become obsessed with what you do not have, is the moment you stop appreciating what you do have going for you.

And it's an easy trap to fall into, because there is always some girl who has it better than you do (or appears to).

Anyway, I'm going to stop rambling now. I had a shitty day. 3 weeks off and my first day is a 13 hour shift. Bleep bleep bleep all fucking day. I work on this crappy little island in a tiny hospital (because I'm a shitty doctor), and every nurse here is as ugly as sin. I busted my ass for years, you think the least I would get in compensation is some decent nurse pussy. I've cheered up a bit now anyway.

Generation nothing has expected that if they could just get that college diploma and vote for a cool president they would be set. A great house, money, cars, and vacations. When the reality hits them they wasted their life pursuing a syringe steroid life style instead of pursuing a career reality sets in. Suddenly they are approaching 30 living at home but at least they get compliments in the disco for their temporary muscles.

People who talk of happiness and being happy or finding happiness are child-like in my mind.  They never grew up, always wanting to eat ice cream and look at rainbows.  I can't stand those people who ask you "But are you happy?" like that even means anything or happiness is something that can become a constant in your life.  If you lose your leg or arm, are you still supposed to be happy, or your best friend dies or you lose a job you love.  There are far greater human qualities to strive for than feeling a bunch of happiness, like seeking wisdom and contentment, developing an attitude to overcome adversity, being true to yourself, cultivating mutually beneficial relationships, being fair and just etc etc.  Happiness is so gay, just like the fairies that seek it.

It means you're getting old.  When I was younger I was around people all the time.  As I get older I can't fucking stand people and their pittiness towards everything.

Nah, I've always tolerated humans in small doses only.

I figure when I do eventually get older someday ( ;D) I'll discover the tolerance that's always been missing.

Until then fuck 'em.

The happiest people i've ever met, have all agreed on this:

Happiness is not an aim or goal, but a byproduct of doing what's right.

'What's right' may differ according to the lane of life you're running in, however, I found myself to be happy when I didn't focus on 'becoming happy'.

Galeniko I kind of agree with you - but it's only 50 percent of the puzzle. There are outside factors that you can't "positive" away.
Be positive on the insight and strive forward... but in reality, what other chance do you have...?
