We have a Cybex seated press machine, and it`s very humbling......can only use a fraction of the weight that I can use if I do seated bb presses............works the hell out of my delts though.
I dunno if you can tell but the arms actually pivot on the opposite side from where you press and the seat only has 2 settings, 90deg and maybe 85 deg, very upright and since the back is tall there is no leaning back and making it an incline press.

*this press machine is insane, made by Flite, light poundage feels so heavy. I'll look for a pic later see if anyone else has used it.

Hard to see it,but I understand what you`re saying.

I usually sit in our machine backwards, meaning that I sit facing the pad...give it a try, much better feeling depending on the machine of course.

spend it on food

I'm not sacrificing food in lieu of this purchase.   Convenience due to work schedules are the driver.

Can't speak for him, but I was doing these right after college.  I felt a pinch in my right shoulder at the bottom.  Rest of the workout hurt like heck, but like a young dumb ass, I kept working out.   Woke up with a golf ball sized knot on my shoulder - turns out I suffered a first degree separation.  Had to take 3 months off.

Wow,that sucks!!

I used to do declines to the neck after reading about them from Vince Gironda, but I was much younger and even then they bothered my shoulders.
