Sailing, Football, Tennis, Hockey, Equestrian etc

Unless the olympics is the absolute pinnacle of the sport as in athletics, weightlifting swimming events should not be in it. Takes away from the spectacle of it if the olympics is the 5th or 6 most important tournament in a sports calendar

Many of these events no one really cares about outside of the Olympics.

Events like water polo, archery and don't get me started on the shooting.

I would include in the Olympics: Athletics, swimming, boxing and gymnastics. The rest can fuck right off.

If you can wear a watch whilst performing the activity: it means it's not a sport and, therefore, should not be in the Olympics.

What would the ancient greeks think of sailing, shooting and equestrian as a sign of athletic prowess?

i was on the US shooting team from 13 until i was 19 and i completely agree with this statement.

I acknowledge judo as a sport as do i acknowledge taekwondo

I actually know the world senior judo bronze medalist. Trains in my gym. Goes to france all the time.

Handball is also a nation sport of ireland.

The ones i mentioned are inted shit and not really sports...more pastimes

Haha, yes I once politely pointed out to someone who was a competitive equestrian, that I think like running a marathon is harder than riding a horse and they melted beyond all belief on me.

I've actually had people tell me they gained weight because they stopped working out. And to them working out was horseback riding.

If it's not big in the US, then it should not be an olympic event.

There is a reason soccer isn't big here. Because it sucks.

And if equestrian is an olympic event, then NASCAR should be too.
