Occasionally, while we were driving from one remote village to another, the road would come to a standstill and a dozen black jeeps would slowly roll past, each filled with at least 5 Ugandan Special Forces personnel. I had to literally pick up my jaw from the seat of our rented Avensis every time this happened. One particularly memorable gentleman would stand up on his mounted gun turrett, and it was like seeing a perfectly carved chocolate man-statue. I thought easter had come early that day.
