Congratulation to Flex Wheeler on his 2023 Arnold Classic Lifetime Achievement Award!  Very well deserved.

I am know Flex Wheeler since 1997, I think, when I met him at the Mr. Olympia in Long Beach, California

Guy nuked his health and treated most like they were gum beneath his feet.

What an “achievement”.

And his hot wife bailed on his organ-fried ass.

P.S. That coat is retarded. He was likely sweating buckets to “look cool”. What a dipshit.

Would’ve meant more if they gave it to him when he had his legs. Now it just reeks of sympathy virtue signaling. Has Ronnie Coleman gotten this award yet? If not, let’s get him one before the wheelchair.

Hmm...

One of the best bodybuilders of the 1990s.
One of the best every in symmetry.
Won the Arnold Classic four times!
Placed second at the Olympia twice.

He deserves it...

One of the best bodybuilders of the 1990s - one of the best every in symmetry.

See, I still don’t get this “symmetry” nonsense.

When people say this, they actually mean proportion. (What, do many sport unbalanced measurements on their left and right sides?) And even proportion isn’t what most mean when they say it.

Generally people mean “a pleasing aesthetic”. A flow.

Whatever.

What has he done for money in his post bb life? No way he made enough when he was competing to never work again. Especially considering he bought stupid flashy cars and similar nonsense.  Add to that all his health issues and hospital bills

I agree with the award for Flex the bodybuilder, his build and look at its very peak is up there with the very best physiques ever, he certainly would have beaten Cutler and Heath with his 93 Arnold Ironman look.

But as a person, you will find out very hard to find anyone who liked Flex outside of Rico, and his hood rat homies, the award would fit more with Chris who whilst not being as good as flex at his best was way more consistent over a much longer period of time.

What is exactly is a lifetime award anyway Flex went to hard to quick, had hardly any longevity and never trained when not fully gased,  he really was all over in 3-5 years

Exactly. When they say symmetry they always mean aesthetics. That is somewhat subjective although some things seem to be somewhat universal.

I saw some interview, I think by Dennis and Flex had a swollen face, I guess due to recent filler injections. I think Dennis did too, they both kept smacking their lips. Flex looked like a child Michael Jackson.

But what I saw in the interview was someone very fake. I can't list all the reasons for thinking this but that was my impression: total fake. Flex said he was a fake back in the day but he still is IMO.

Easily but only in that shape from early 93, even the Olympia that same year he was off his best and just got worse as he got heavier.  :)

Heath and Cutler were sub par to Yates era, Ronnie also beats them. they are both better than the last two winners though

Kenneth would have been Mr O a couple times except for a genetic Mutant - Ron Coleman.

If it wasn’t for Kevin telling Ron how to get to get to the next level maybe Kenneth would have been known differently.

First saw Flex at Golds Venice in the summer of 1990. His “symmetry” was already crystal clear. He was sub-200 but he looked crazy.

We became friendly- never friends really. He never came to my house in Venice. I never went to his house. We did train together a few times. Did a few small deals.

His symmetry. Guys it was a result of nothing he did. He trained very normal. No secrets. No crazy weights. No five hour sessions. Nothing out of the ordinary. The way he looked- that symmetry- was just the way he looked. Mom & Dad get full credit.

I wish Flex well.

It's a pretentious bodybuilding snobbery word that funnily enough has been used in the wrong sense of the word for decades

Ah, yes. The Lifetime Achievement Award. Bodybuilding’s version of the Medal of Honor!

Didn’t he take a shrapnel to the leg at the Battle of the Bulge?  ???

If so, this is well-deserved IMHO

Did you ever catch a shower together ala Arnold and Franco? Did you ever hit side by side urinals? Surely you snuck a peek. What kind of cock was he sporting back then?

For all his “symmetry”, Flex abs were askew.

vs. for example Dexter J:
