of the Danish cartoons
that portrayed the Prophet Muhammad as a terrorist.

?I intend to protest your protest.
I am offended not by cartoons,

and the university impose mandatory diversity training for faculty
and mandate a seminar on hate and discrimination for all freshmen.
Now the local chapter of CAIR has jumped into the fray.
CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations,
apparently doesn't believe that the good professor
had the right to express his opinion.
For its part,
?the university is standing its ground
in support of Professor Wichman,
saying the e-mail was private,
and they don't intend to publicly condemn his remarks.

I agree to a certain extent.
There are some muslims who don't have the need to follow the primitive sharia codes and they integrate well into society. They mix with other nationalities. They don't cover their wives and daughters from head to toe or have them wear metal masks. The only thing that is obviously muslim about them is their name. These are the muslims who are absolutely disgusted by the behaviour of the radical muslims and speak out against them.
On the other hand the vast majority immigrant muslims feel the need to carry over their primitive behaviours over to whatever country they migrate to and expect to be exonerated from their behaviour. When westerners go the the middleeast they have to abide by middleastern laws. Why should muslims be exonerated from western laws? These people and their radical imams should be ejected the minute they start their bullshit ranting. Australia is speaking out against a all muslim school. Europeans need to sling out all the lebanese and middleeastern rapists. Better get things sorted out now rather than pay the price later.

The main cause is that when these immigrants come come the established muslim society in X country cover up their misdeeds instead of holding them accountable. I don't think you can consider Buddhism or Hinduism an extreme religion and the radicals from those two religions are easily overshadowed 100X by Christian/Muslim radicals. Religious people have to understand and get this fact right: in a democracy, God's rules come after men's imperfect ones. Trying to find a middleground which assures everyone a certain level of freedom and security is a huge task and one that you have to constantly work at. Biggots, with their radical solutions, shouldn't be allowed to push their own private interests at the expense of civil society. End of the story. I wouldn't want to rub it in but I have to say that a lot of muslims, not necessarily very religious ones, but at least "culturally" indebted to Islam are extremely superstitious and that is a major problem when it comes to serious matters. I've worked with a lot of people from Arab countries and whenever you encounter a difficulty in the process (which happens all the time, in any business), they just tend to go "Inch Allah, if God wants it will happen, etc...". Basically , they just give up, won't show any perseverance and let it in the "hands of God" which is just childish and shows a total lack of will. Hence the state they are at.
