Title: Greatest bodybuilders not to live to their full potentials
Post by: Alex23 on June 08, 2007, 12:48:31 AM
Broke my heart when JP Fux had to throw the towel. Had the blacks roundness and the whites fullness and density...

There's plenty others.

Vince "the cobra" Goodrum

I remember when he first came on the scene, he had EVERYONE talking about him. He was like a breath of fresh air, to comp. bbing.
First man since Mike Matarazzo to wow people with his trademark calves. His arms, not since Arnold had we seen anything like 'em. Abs that would make Ahmad Haider jealous. Levrone-like shoulder boulders. And a back......man-oh-man....that would put Ronnie's to shame.

I still have that issue of Flex with Vince on the cover. It is one of my most cherished possesions. Talk about collector's edition.....it's one of a kind. The Arnold issues are a dime a dozen, but the Vince edition.....fodget aboud it! Best bbing mag cover EVER! Just look at those abs...look at them dammit! Has there ever been a more muscular most muscular in the history of bbing?

His routines were always entertaining too. Talk about a great poser. Here's a shot of his now legendary "row, row, row your boat" routine. Darrem & Melvin who? Take lessons guys....to quote Arnold in PI: "this, is what i call posing".

Amazingly, this man was not only a great bber, but a great human being as well.

Shot #1- Here he is seen gathering beers for the thirsty during Katrina.

Shot #2- Entertaining the troops in Iraq.

Shot #3- Seen running one of his many businesses.

Man o man that Vince G reply was funny as hell, I actually laughed out loud reading it.

How about this guy (pic below)? Look at the face of intensity as the dog cheers him on!
sadly he hung up his trunks after an epic 16th place (out of 14) at the 1995 Mr Podunk

To this day, he holds the distinction of being the first & ONLY bber, to ever grace the cover of "Weasels" cereal.

Shot #1- Autographed Limited edition Weasels box.

Shot #2- The legendary eye of the tiger, during one of his most grueling bbing battles.
