Title: Facts and fallacies about post pregnancy stomach? (ceasarian section)
Post by: anabolichalo on May 30, 2013, 02:18:58 AM
After a woman gives birth (by ceasarian section), what should be done to get the stomach flat again?

Firstly

What causes the stomach to still be round and pregnant-like after giving birth? Is it because the transversus and/or rectus abdominus are stretched and/or severed by the pregnancy and the ceasarian section?

Secondly

are the following claims facts or bro/hoscience?

*a woman that delivers by ceasarian section will have a lot more difficulty to flatten her stomach

*any woman that delivers in general must wear a corset after to press the stomach in so that it can all adjust again
