Thanks, bro. I watched all 12 episodes of Suits. Pretty good, but definitely not as good as what I've seen so far from The Sopranos.

i'm afraid i don't watch too much tv so i really haven't got much of a clue..
the bbc's new adaptation of sherlock holmes was excellent if you like that sort of thing.
that's it i guess :-\
-
I always like the part where Carmela runs to the closet grabs the ak-47 and goes outside to find her daughter sneaking back into her bedroom ... Gangsta as wife
paulie walnuts and Chris are the best characters IMO
THis part is dope too, when tony chills outside waiting for the bear

DEADWOOD. It is better than the Sopranos or anything for that matter.
-
deadwood, sopranos, rome, the wire, breaking bad.... all classics. boardwalk empire is pretty new but great as well.
-
Damn..what a lucky C.UNT to be discovering this for the first time.
-
Here is a couple other popular shows you might have missed out on pal....
-

Rome is the shit, very under rated, saprono's is good, but the novelty kinda wears off after a while and it just turns into a normal drama. Alot like the show rescue me.
-
ive seen the whole thing like 3 times sopranos is great
-
DEADWOOD. It is better than the Sopranos or anything for that matter.
This. Deadwood was the the greatest show HBO ever produced, it will always leave you wanting more. The Wire and Broadwalk Empire(if it continues at current standard) will be vying for second and third spots. As mentioned, the Soprano's loses some steam about 2/3 of the way through the series.
If you're in the US, Deadwood will probably cycle around on HBO Zone a few more times in the next few weeks, it takes about a month and a quarter to view the whole series that way.
.
Long version of one of the most realistic fight scenes I've ever seen filmed(actual fight starts about 3:15 or so in).
-
Just started watching some funny show with a pair of young black kids living with some old white pedo. The kid is really funny and pulls these crazy faces. Every show he learns something new and pedo-dad tells us what it was.
-
I'd recommend you run over your own head with your own car.
-
Just finished episode 4. All in one day, this stuff is addicting. ;D
Oh, and Married With Children is one of my favourite television series. Al Bundy is a true alpha male. ;D
-
One of my all time favorite shows - if not, my favorite show!!!! Enjoy it brotha!
-
I'm on episode 3 now. Man, this shit is good, I've been missing out. 8)
One of my favorite series ever.
-
I liked the one where Tony had the shits, even tho it almost became slapstick.
And who can forget Pine Barrens.
Best series ever..
-
Sopranos is the greatest series ever. Where you been, dude?
-
I've been meaning to watch it for a while, just never got to it. I'm glad I decided to finally watch it, I love it already. :D

Was it a maximum security prison? I hope you weren't in protective custody all those years.
-
No, it's just one of those things you tell yourself you're gonna do soon, but never get 'round to it. :)
-
There really is no excuse for this.
-
Damn..what a lucky C.UNT to be discovering this for the first time.
I haven't seen it either. I've only seen Lost and Smallville in the last 10 something years. Got the whole gangster thing out of my system by the mid 90s after watching tons of movies on that theme, but everyone raves about The Sopranos, so maybe I should look into it :D

-
To be honest, although I'm shocked at people not having watched the Sops, I am the only person alive that has never - I mean never - watched an episode of the Simpsons.
-
Simpsons has gone to shits now. Used to be really good, but those fuckers drawed it out 10 years too long. :-\
-
Arrested Development
Brilliant.

DEADWOOD. It is better than the Sopranos or anything for that matter.
I was late to Deadwood, but it is superior. Right from the get-go, superior. I'd like to agree with TA and say it's better than the Sopranos, but they are both so far above the norm that it would be a Sophie's Choice. I choose both.

Your going to enjoy the part where meadow soprano's boyfriend wants to put in some extra hours at work and shows up early at his construction job

He's got a LONG way to go to that one. Still in season 1. You'll like "Boca" - Episode 9 and the next one "College" episode 5.
-
Any other shows you guys would recommend?
Sons of Anarchy ..?

I NEVER watch TV, so whenever I heard someone mention THE SUPRANOS, I thought it was a TV show about a bunch of male singers.
Then someone forced me to watch DEXTER via disc on my laptop because he works in it ... and I got hooked that first season and asked friends opinions on other TV series ... and ended up enjoying SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA, SPARTACUS. BREAKING BAD, ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT, and TRUE BLOOD.
Now as a result of youz guys, I gotta tackle SUPRANOS and DEADWOOD before the end of this year and before the next season of DEXTER or BREAKING BAD is released on DVD.
OH YEA! I never saw SIMPSON, but I did see one episode of SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS . Are they related or produced by the same company?
TV is a total mystery to me. I can't even turn on the remote.
-
The best tv series of all time,i bought series 1 and 2 and watched 13 episodes straight through one saturday, then did the same on sunday with series 2.Borrowed them to my brother in law and he watched an episode each night,by the 4th episode he would have to watch 3 consecutive ones.Pretty soon he was doing a full series in one day, thats how it pulls you in,heres a few classic clips you have yet to see.
-
never seen it, isnt it mafia comedy? i normally rather watch real mafia movies.

-
On to episode 5 now. :D
-
I'm on episode 3 now. Man, this shit is good, I've been missing out. 8)
When you are done with Sopranos download The Wire - Shits about as epic as it gets - especially the last two seasons with uber Gangster cold #### Marlow.

DOC, I haven't seen that one yet, but do you realize that Danny Divito only had about six weeks(?) available to work on the Sunny in Philadelphia series, so they filmed every scene in which he had a part .... without shooting the rest of that episode in its normal sequence.
Once he left the set for good they shot the rest of 'the story-lines' and built it like a big, moving, jig-saw puzzle or so I've been told by someone who knows this stuff..
Has anyone seen BLUE MOUNTAIN STATE? It's a free watch on IMDB.com unless it's been moved lately. Funny college football fraternity stuff that could never be shown on regular TV and worth a watch.
-

So, true, bro. Danny...is one of the prime movers in Hollywood. not just a producer, or money guy, but one of the top guys who can make or shake a project. Pretty good for a former hairdresser. oh, and he;s got good money-sense, too. :)
-
THE SHIELD ... another one I gotta watch unless that's the series about the slightly crooked but dedicated cops ... or is that THE WIRE? I've watched parts of one of them.
Can any of you GETBIGGERS start watching any of these TV shows without starting at the very beginnig (Season 1, Episoode 1)?
I think it would be impossible to enjoy any Season of DEXTER without seeing the entirity of SEASON 1 which gives you a good idea of who he is and why he is what he is.
And it's gonna be interesting to see kow DEXTER ends! Any suggestions are appreciated.
I THINK his sister will end up killing him ..... by accident of course.
My first viewing of DEADWOOD WAS THE 1ST episode of Season 2 .... and I was completley losted .... but interested enough to search for Season 1 without continuing further.
I have yet to hear about any plans to bring any of these series to the big screen though.

no. Sopranoes i can relate to on a personal level, thats why I watched it.

Far from a comedy, although this scene was absolutely hilarious. The show has lot of subtle references to the Godfather, Goodfellas and the like.

there is one bodybuilding related episode where one beefcake is tony's driver. then tony is admiring his triceps and they talk bodybuilding
then tony claims he once benched 300lbs (or 315)
best moment of the sopranos because it was bodybuilding related
also in one episode there is a an issue about homosexuality they are discussing in agony when suddenly bodybuilding competition appears on television and everybody gets more angry because bodybuilding looks gay
-
Any other shows you guys would recommend?
Sons of Anarchy. Great show. But not matching the quality of The Sopranos. Nothing does IMO.

The people I grew up around were all Arthur Ave., Morris Park, people from yonkers, etc

I just watched the first two episodes of Breaking Bad on Netflix. I like it so far. It seems like a much darker version of weeds. I highly recommend Weeds
Anyone else recommend Breaking Bad?
Also, True Blood is pretty good if you are into Vampires at all.
Carnivale was a good two season show as well.
The sopranos are at the top of the list though.
-
the americans only watch the same shows.
-
the americans only watch the same shows.
Actually, my wife watches several British shows.
I tend to watch american shows because they are the ones available to me and in English, but I am open to non american shows if they are good - so name some big guy.

Best scene with his buff bodyguard was when Tony got out of the hospital and felt that his crew would see him as being weak due to being shot...
and here's what he did to "regain" their confidence.
an awesome scene spoiled by the usual coke product placement ::)
god, i miss this show...despite coca-cola
-
Nice scene..poor guy was damned if he did and damned if he didn't
