Yates body was breaking down. You can only look your best for a certain number of years and then it's down hill after that. It happens to most bodybuilder except for those who decide to retire early without any injuries.

the last 3 weeks hardly matter, you should just be concentrating on getting a good pump and squeezing the muscles, any heavy work is only going to get you injured.
