And I think I'm gonna buy a new TV, I got my eye on the 46" Samsung LCD LN46C630, 1080p, 120hz with motion interpolation, the whole works! I love my current LG, but I'm ready to go BIGGER!
Where do you all think has the best prices??? Best buy site has listed for 989, but in store it had it on sale for 899. Anything better??? Maybe I'll check out Sam's Club!

Not a fan of Samsung, but Sam's Club has good prices...plus they have some sort of 100% satisfaction guarantee w/their stuff. A person that worked there told me that someone returned a stained mattress and they had to take it back :-X

I paid 1399$ for that tv back in March. Then it went on sale for 1199$ a few weeks later so they gave me 200$ back. I like it a lot, great picture.

i got a hdtv (it's a vizio, but i'm not a brand whore, it's for the basement), with a glass/metal tv stand for around 600. picture clear as glass.

I wouldn't mind buying a non-big brand tv (My surround sound and Blu Ray player are Insignia), but Samsung has the strongest and most apparent 120Hz Motion Interpolation feature, and I know most people don't like that feature, but I really do, my LG has it, but its not as strong as the Samsung's!

LOLLL I dunno about that.....
Well 3 were cause of me trying to find the perfect set for the living room (I was able to get all my money back for the first two when I got the last one through craigslist sales and returns)
and 2 were for the bedroooms (but its nothing extravegent, one of them is a 15 inch unit :-) LOL baby size)

Actually, when building my house back in Egypt I made sure to run a TV line into the bathroom connected to the satelite dish (similar to Dish Network or Direc-TV), with the idea I would one day I would put a TV in the bathroom... All the plugs and connections are ready, I just haven't gotten around to doing it yet!

Sharp is nice! I never saw anything special with the Quattron feature, and personally I never liked the picture as much as the Sony and Samsung models, but we're splitting hairs here, its still nice!
If you are not stuck on LCD and dont' want to break the bank, you can alway sgo with Plasma or a Projection DLP model, Mitsubishi makes them and the price is AWESOME. But again its still projection TV and you'll eventually have to replace the bulb lol Can't beat that price for 60" though and there are always coupons for it for another 200 bucks off :-)

and why not go 46" LED 3-D samsung or sony..thats what im looking at
the only drawback about 3-D is that theres only a couple movies coming out for it this year and they are kids movies.

it's possible to pick-up a used 57 inch projection style big screen tv from online classifieds for 400$ so that's another possibility

Big Poppa, DO NOT buy a projection TV USED... LCD or Plasma sure, but projection you want that BRAND NEW MODEL WITH WARRNATY (and possibly the extended one) cause shit can really go bad with them, and you'll be stuck spending a lot more than you had hoped!!

Reminds me of a friend who found out a hotel was upgrading to lcd tv's and throwing away their old ones. He rented a u-haul van and picked them up with the intention of selling them for 20 bucks a piece. Unfortunately, he only sold 3. His apartment is now full of old tv's and he hasn't made enough money to pay for the u-haul ;D

Rates for bookings to outside of the USA are charged a little more (17%)
