SoCal, around the coast, they are pretty much standard wear 24/7. Even older guy's in their '50's -'60's and up. Talking about real sandals not FlipFlops,  those cheap 99 cent crap bought in drug stores, etc. Baggie, cargo, surf shorts usually wore most of the time.

Will also workout sometimes with sandals on, thought most of the time barefooted.

Geo is the official greeter at our Wal-Mart. Pay is crap but he is a senior so really does not need much. Being closer to kicking the bucket anyway. And yes, he does wear those 89 cent Wal-Mart special Flip-Flops.

Every Samoan / Pac Islander I knows where's them..even here in Washington. Dare you to call them gay to their face. ::)

Aftere a rugby game...most of us ditch the cleats as fast as fucking possible and put on some type of sandel / flip flop. Hell I didn't even wear socks and shoes till I moved to the Pac NW...even then its only in the REALLY cold / wet months.


Now Crocs...it's just funny. Mostly cause I think they are the ugliest shoes ever. It's like rubber clogs or something.

I saw some burn out guy at the gym wearing sandals while working out.  It states specifically no open toed shoes in the gym.  Not only does he wear flip flops while working out.....he takes them off and puts his grimy, dirty feet up on a bench while doing those gay ass bench tricep push ups.
