But it's not just the "things"! Having lot of money means freedom, no need to do a 9-5 job with stupid bosses, you can travel around the world, go to the largest sport events, pay the best doctors if you need etc.

Exactly. People always treat it like an either-or scenario - either you have no money and are happy or you have money and aren't. Why should it be that way when it isn't? There are heaps of people who are miserable while being poor (often, because of the same), just like there are tons of people who enjoy the wealth they've earned or maybe even inherited. Bottomline, money will make your life better, even though it will bring / have it's own share of complications, like poverty does.

on every level theres competion between people, what if your neighbour has 10 million more then you have. damn that must be horrible.
