2:17 was a training routine that Chick taught to the kids for the movie, handed down to him from that creepy schmoe in those black and white "training" pictures

That rendition with Tarantino really nailed it.

I loved the movie as a kid, when I was too young to notice the seriously homoerotic undertones.
I still think it is a great movie simply for the nostalgia, but I can't help but laugh at all of the gay
scenes, especially when they are playing volleyball to that ridiculous song.
