Hehe, Plato got neutered today, I will post a pic of him with the cone on his head for laughs when he gets home.  Him and Knny's dog share in the same misery ever since I saw that pic of him with it as well lol.

A mod can add him to the Represent thread and you (or anyone) can nominate him for DOM next month.

The look on his face here is priceless  ;D

MY LITTLE GIRL ARRIVED!!!!

Avery Caroline was born 9/5, 8lbs 9oz

Mother and baby are doing well.

May have to concede this month's "Dog of the Month" as I'm not sure how much time i'm going to have...

I agree!

Maybe a stipulation needs to be put in place "if for any reason the winner cannot perform the duties of POM, the 1st runner up will assume the responsibilities" or something to that effect  ;D

Although little Miss Avery understandably takes precedence in the Wood household. that in no way negates Reese's obligation to provide pictures and stories!   :P

Sorry guys, the past three weeks have been a roller coaster ride of sorts...with lots of company, no sleep, numerous Dr. appointments and baby and mom getting a cold (brought to us by her cousins 2 yr old twins >:()...Also, my photo editing software at home is not what it is at work and I've been slammed at work since I took 2 weeks off.

Reese is very curious about the baby and a little jealous I'm sure.  There won't be any pics of them together for a while as the wife is adamant that she not be too near her and never unsupervised.  That's mainly b/c Reese's had a yeast infection in her left ear and I had to take her to the vet.  She's getting better now with treatment but she despises me putting the meds in her ear.

She gets to smell the baby occasionally and she goes on walks with us.  We're making sure the stroller leads the way so she gets the point I think.  She stays in the sunroom for the majority of the day and at night when we're watching TV or whatever she gets to go lay on her bed.  She also knows she can't come into the baby's room and has been trained (a while ago) to stop at the door to the hallway, see pic.  Also, here's a pic of her a few days before we went to the hospital.  We told her we were bringing home a baby and she's like "WTF??" ;D

Sheesh it's like there's a curse on being getbig's dog of the month!  Even Louie had some trouble didn't he?

Good to hear Reese's ear is improving and thanks for the story and pics, Reese is beautiful! :)  Hope she's still getting lots of lovin!

(congrats on that other baby too ;D)

You guys aren't going to believe this...

So Reese has been a little jealous and has acted out a couple times, chewing on an old couch in the sunroom and had also figured out how to get a stick out of the track on the sliding glass sunroom door and was tossing it around and chewing it...so, after a couple incident of this and being scolded pretty hard, I came home yesterday and the wife said Reese had been playing with the stick again and asked if I had put it back.  I hadn't been out there so when Reese saw me come home, she must have put it back to keep from getting yelled at!  She almost got it back in the track perfect but not exactly so she got a mild correction.  Anyone else ever had to deal with this "new baby in the house" jealousy?

Oh, and she's getting spayed on the 18th...finally.  I hope it doesn't change her personality much, unless it calms her down a little around new people.

I had to get her a prong pinch collar this weekend as the anti-pull harness was no longer affective on our walks or around people.
