The Book of Eli (spoilers included)
« on: April 05, 2010, 02:14:21 PM »
Just finished watching this one this morning. It was actually pretty rivetting.
Not quite what I expected, but it was very good nonetheless.

The actress who plays Solara,  looks like an Angelina Jolie clone. If Angelina Jolie ever does a film where she has a sister, this girl needs to be cast. The resemblance is uncanny.

The Book of Eli

ps: In this movie... 333386 marries a woman named Martha, buys a little house out in the desert, and we fast forward to see their lives in about 40 years.  ;D

For Goodness sakes gracie, do you have to post a spoiler?!  >:(

I swear, this is the reason that I never bother to click on any thread in this forum about any film I have yet to see but intend to.

Is it sooo incredibly difficult to insert a spolier alert and allow people the opportunity to avoid it?

Failure to do so should be grounds for banning from this board!!!

Stephen Wiltshire, MBE, a prodigious savant.  He is capable of drawing the entire skyline of a city after a helicopter ride.

Kim Peek, prodigious savant and inspiration for the character Raymond Babbit, played by Dustin Hoffman, in the film Rain Man.  He read a book in about an hour, and remembered almost everything he had read, memorizing vast amounts of information in subjects ranging from history and literature, geography, and numbers to sports, music, and dates.  In listening to recordings he could distinguish which instruments play which part and was adept at guessing the composers of new music by comparing the music to the many thousands of music samples in his memory.

Read a book everyday for 38 years or w/e it was in the movie and chances are you'll memorize most of it. Dipshit.

You're uneducated garbage so it's not surprising that the concept of memorization is tough for you.

And no know memorization its not that difficult. but again the whole Bible? wtf?
 Stop being a douche dude.

That's your response? Jesus, you're fucking retarded. You can't even type coherently.

Protip: A lot of things in that movie were far-fetched. Shocking concept that a fictional movie has events that are far-fetched.  ::)

Oh, sweet irony.

You're a loser who is obsessed with the Playstation 3, which is nothing short of pathetic. But hey, you're most likely retarded (or autistic, one or the other) so it's to be expected.

Did the PS3 and it's AWESOME(!!!!!) functionality change your life?  ::)

You shouldn't be insulting intelligence when you're incapable of typing coherent posts. You got owned because you're a retard and then tried to claim that I'm defending this movie because "it changed my life". I then called you out on the fact that you're a middle-aged man whose obsession with a videogame system borders on pathetic and then asked whether that changed your life. You seem to be under the impression that my defense of this movie is because it changed my life. Now I'll ask you the same idiotic question you're asking me. Is your obsession and defense of the PS3 due to it changing your life or are you just a sad nerd who plays too many videogames?

To each his own. For some people 'the Book of Eli' was a good movie. Both loco & Beach liked it.
If you think it was a crappy film and a waste of money, feel free to say so, but posting a spoiler is out of line.

...besides, it was never established that what you claim is actually the case.

Why is that ridiculous? Ignorant illiterate peasant farmers in Afghanistan routinely memorize the entire Quran.

When Denzel was in the bar kicking ass(killing 16 men) he did that scene in 1 take!  Pretty good scene and amazing if you realize the talent that Denzel is!

Your obsession with me is just downright creepy now. There has to be a better way for you to log your 14 hours a day on here than licking my balls.

So desperate for attention and validation on an internet forum.

A 3+ week meltdown because I called you out on a Fox News poll. How utterly pathetic.  :-\
