Series finale of Better Call Saul...
« on: August 15, 2022, 08:41:22 PM »
Did not disappoint. Great series, great universe. Vince Gilligan is a literary genius. I look forward to whatever he does next.

Sad no more shows  :( but good way to end.

IMO (only) things went downhill a bit when they switched to the last-few black & white episodes, feels like its rushing to an ending.
After a very-slow build-up of six seasons. Still the best thing on TV, and sad to see it go..

I think the buildup was the best part as the characters are all interesting, more-so Jimmy.

So do I, thats why Im a tiny bit disappointed in the race to the end. I get it, maybe plans changed and they were forced to end it quickly.
(RONA, Bobs clot-shot related heart attack on set, etc).

I could have seen a season 7, wrapping it all up at a decent pace.

Still, amazing show...

Might be the goat tv series (i.e. saul plus breaking bad) after that.

It was a great experience following it all these years.

Great performances all around.

Fantastic TV show

It's not as good as BB, anyone saying that is suffering from recency bias and forgetting how good BB was, but it's close.

Had the ending been better you could make a case. Did not love the ending. Ozark, Breaking Bad and SOA all had better endings. In my opinion.

Can I watch it without having watched Breaking Bad and still be entertained and keep up?

Saul isn’t a main character in BB but I think BCS definitely won’t seem as good if you haven’t seen BB already.

Yes.

Better Call Saul series just got better and better.
It sure did.  The first 2 seasons were slow.  This last season was great.

I'll take your word for it, Wiggs.

To be honest, the lies about the Iraq War made me swear off mainstream media in 2003. I held out until 2007, but it's just hard for me to not fear some agenda brainwashing me in ways I'm not aware of. Surely as a serviceman, you had a view on Iraq, too? I just can't stand media lies. They drive me batty.

Is it an overtly political show? Literally at the faintest touch of any propaganda, and I lose my mind.

Someone told me that Breaking Bad resulted in an increase in crystal meth use, lol. That could be the point of some of these drug shows.
