I saw a YouTube video once about the 4th dimension. Very hard to comprehend and understand.

A friend of mine -who is a physicist- loves to dig deep into these abstract matters. I admire his will power and patience to do so.

I got a record by the 5th Dimension.  Top that!  No...really. I have one.  It's good too.  A greatest hits compilation.

As for what I ate yesterday?  Still not enough.

Yup.  8 pieces of fried chicken.  About 3 pounds of baked potatoes, two liver and whey shakes with some wheatgrass juice and a partridge in a pear tree.  Well, not partridge really but I did have two cups of Caucasian Rice!

'Caucasian Rice', I like that ;D

You mean you mix whey with liver? Must taste disgusting, or..?  I love potatoes, but they hardly contain carbs, compared with rice or oats.

I like chicken liver sometimes, but pork and beef liver taste too strong IMO.

It's delicious!  I just had two cups of rice (makes 4 servings) to make up for more carbs.  Potatoes have lots of potassium so I eat lots of them as I suffer from medicinally induced (and severe) muscle cramps.  My doctors asked why  not take a pill?  I told them not enough calories in a pill.   ;D

I sometimes (rarely) eat chicken livers and gizzards.  Beef liver I prefer cooked in butter and garlic but only for a few seconds per side.  It's not that I don't like the stuff (I do) I just rarely remember to buy it when I go grocery shopping and I can guaranty my wife would never get it as it grosses her out.

I had this quite nice chicken liver appetizer in a restaurant once. I think it is pears that you can see on the plate. It gave the dish an interesting fat and sweet taste:

Oh... Interesting way to think about it.  I just think of the roportion of nutrients.  Potato is similar to rice or oats in that respect.  But I suppose it's a lot more filling, since more water.

However rice and oats absorb a lot of water when cooked, so maybe not?

also, haven't contributed in a while.  i've been trying to cook more practically, that is, taking everything into consideration: nutrition, preparation, taste, variety, cost, etc.  instead of just going all out, spending tons of time and money or throwing everything out the window in pursuit of taste.  someday i hope to actually be a good home cook.  it's a slow learning process; here's one of my successes:

I haven't eaten liver for some time now. My wife and I used to eat calves liver about once a month. We also had chicken livers. Chicken liver pâté is pretty tasty stuff when spread on a cracker.

On thing that bothers me about eating liver of any kind is that it is the body's filter for most all toxins. How does one know for sure, the toxins aren't still there after the liver is cooked? Maybe liver is really just poisoned meat.
