Update on the 'plant based diet'.

Been a few weeks now, and i've dropped 6 pounds. Muscle mass looks unchanged even though i've probably halved the brotein intake. Main difference is my penis is now a vagina.

Made a beautiful vegetable chilli this week, among other things it had courgettes, mushrooms, red and green pepper, haricot/cannellini/kidney/black eyed beans with all the seasonings etc. Had this with white basmati rice and plain tortilla chips - sooooo good.

There was actually more brotein per 'serving' than a regular chicken breast/rice/veg meal so that was a bonus.

The biggest plus from this diet, is that I no longer even consider kcals. I mean, I literally do not even acknowledge the presence of the numbers on the packaging any more. I am eating WHATEVER I LIKE, when I like and it's getting me in shape.

nice man.  i was tracking cals at first, and lost 10 lbs over a couple weeks, even though i was eating 3000-3500 daily (sometimes up to 4500, if i went on a long ride).  some of that was probably bloat.

i had another binge episode tho, so i've really tried to stop counting and just eat a bit more intuitively.  very hard for me, but going good so far.

i probably get <50 grams protein many days.  no huge differences in lifts / muscle appearance yet.

also i'm wary of putting too much time or effort into cooking since my "meltdown".  so nothing special for now...

Too much yesterday!

I got back on track today. My total caloric intake was definitely less than 2,000.

Breakfast:
6 oz orange juice, cup of Cheerios with 1/2 cup of low fat milk and black coffee.

Lunch:

Skipped it.

Dinner:

1/3 lb hamburger, baked potato and green beans.

Several glasses of water.

edit: oh wait, i read that as ellenos... i think ellenos is local to seattle, but if you can get it where you live (try whole foods or other high end grocers) you will NOT REGRET IT



that said, oikos (and stonyfield, from whom dannon bought the brand) is otherwise my favorite greek yogurt.  i'm sure their version is great as well.

It was very good. My gf had a dannon lite n' fit caramel apple pie yogurt; it was even better than mine and had like 1/4 of the calories
