Title: EPA Mercury Levels in Commercial Fish info

"The EPA recommends that women consume no more than .1 microgram of mercury per day for each kilogram you weigh ([sorry I don't have the male figures but you'll have to estimate]), which adds up to about 168 micrograms per month for a healthy 132 pound woman who is not prego or trying to conceive."

(a serving shall be 6 ounces)

Trout, haddock (both w/5.04 micrograms/serving)

that list is based on each serving being 6 ounces.

I was shocked at Orange Roughy :(

Yeah I know that, but is your average tuna can (like the size of a hockey puck) three or six ounces, or something else?

I just looked at some Bumblebee white albacore I've got.....it's 6 oz for a standard can.

BTW, the low sodium is delicious....not fishy at all.  fyi :)

 I wouldn't be too worried.  Most of the fish you probably buy from the supermarket is farm raised, which is simply injected with a dye and is simply an expensive source of protein...not much healthy fat to be had, sorry.  :o
