Lou usually has a fair line going at Comic-Con. Keep in mind that 99% of the people there have no idea that Lou sued his brother or that his book was whiny and hard to read for more than 10 minutes. When you see him there the first time, he cuts an imposing figure, so of course you're going to go up to him. I first met him 10 years ago at Con, and was really excited to tell him how great he looked at the 92-93 Olympias. Of course, it only took about 30 seconds to realize he had no interest in talking, and just wanted my $20.
