I am a straight man, but I like love songs like those sung by Elton John, Phil Collins, Bryan Adams etc. Should I just not bring my love song CDs to the gym, or is it ok?

It's ok as long as you don't force others to listen to it.

But I use the CD player at the gym because I'm too cheap to buy my own portable one.

I'm not sure, it's possible that being forced to listen to Bryan Adams would give you a lot of hate and anger that you could use for lifting heavier weights.

Maybe people will end up thanking you.

Nothing wrong with love songs, but it depends on who's singing the love songs:

King's X - Goldilox ;D
Van Halen - Love Walks In, Not Enough ;D
Black Sabbath - Changes ;D
Ozzy - Goodbye To Romance, Tonight, So Tired, Mama, I'm Coming Home, See You On The Other Side ;D
Buckethead/Bootsy Collins - The Passion Continues ;D
Dream Theater - Another Day ;D

But anything by Bryan Adams & Phill Collins :(

Honest question man.  Not being sarcastic but, how do you get pumped to train listening to shit like that?  Different folks different strokes.
