The books are based on Polish-Slavic folklore, bastardized once again by the Netflix degenerates.

In the Witcher 3 videogame, the town of Novigrad is based on the Polish city of Gdańsk

Texts in the game also use glagolitic alphabet ( very old slavic alphabet )
