Title: President Obama Signs Major Credit Card Reform Bill
Post by: Benny B on May 23, 2009, 09:35:09 AM
It can be difficult to think of an issue that touches more people, or can get a rise out of more people, than credit card fine print, fees, and staggering interest rate hikes. The President signs legislation to put an end to all that. May 22, 2009.

A real man reforms his credit situation without crying to the government.

Cutting up your cards won't help the man or woman who has a balance, loses their job, and watches the credit card companies unilaterally change the contract by jacking up the interest rate on said balance without provocation.

Bait and switch contracts are not about "crying to the government," numb nut.

That's what they get for spending money they don't have and not reading the Cardholder Agreement.

No, its not "what they get," because it is now illegal thanks to the bill signed into law by the president.  ;)

Losers will still be losers, regardless of what the government does.

No doubt. As shitheads will be shitheads, regardless of the attempt to make them humane and sympathetic to the plight of those in difficult circumstances.

It's one thing to be humane and sympathetic.  It is quite another to enable and try to manufacture some sort of "class envy."

Superb retort.  Leaves me speechless.  Maybe St. Barry can, in fact, save these poor "victims" from their own poor choices.   ::)

Retort what, "Andy?"  ::) You haven't stated anything. Stupidity needs to be rendered "speechless."

Who is "St. Barry?"  ??? Is that the idol worshiped in the parallel universe where you live?

Thankfully the majority of Americans don't support companies seeking to rip off their customers. No doubt "Andy" is a wealthy conservative billionaire who could never lose his job or fall on hard times. Of course...

I simply realize there is no point in arguing with you.  I realize that anyone who disagrees with you is an idiot.

I'm still chuckling over the fact that the President said "I wanna give a shout out" in the Rose garden  ;D

And what's up with all those pens? ???  They knew he planned to sign the legislation yesterday.
They shudda provided him with a pen ...that at least had some ink in it.  :-\
