Flawless front upperbody. Legs were just too small and underdeveloped most of the time to match his upper, plus his posing didn't seem that great (see: pic of Arnold, Sergio and Nubret hitting front lat spread at 70 or 71 O).

Can someone post contest pics of some Nubret back poses?

The idea of Zane winning and Nubret, Robinson and others never winning is a joke. Even with some weaknesses, Nubret beat Zane & anyone else on aesthetics, and had a lot more size.

How didn't he win? Like many other greats of his era:

So who`s gonna tell me what year Zane won an Olympia that Nubret was entered in.By the time Zane won his first ,Nubret was getting beat by Tony Emmott in Nabba universe shows.

Yes, he would have had a better chance if he had a distended belly like todays top pro's.
I'm sick of the biggest winning with guts that look as if they were pregnant. I'd have awarded at least 3 if not 4
olympia titles to Shawn Ray or Lee Priest, those two would have been battling it out every year in my opinion.

It just seems the person that wins is the person that has the guts to take more gear than anybody else. Its no longer
about having the best looking physique, its about being humongous and thats why bodybuilding is looked upon as a joke sport these days.

yeah he is a absolute definiation of a bodybuilder should be.
Look at the orgin and insertion of his pecs. His chest is huge. His waist is tiny. Looks like a super hero

The more I think about it, Phil Heath reminds me more of Serge Nubret than anyone else. Just my opinion. Serge Nubret was and is massively underrated.

Crownshep, what if say the 1975 Nubret got on stage with the 1977 thru 1979 Zane? How do you see that stacking up?

He probably would have won had he not competed in the Olympia during Arnold's reign. According to his competition stats in musclememory (http://www.musclememory.com/show.php?s=nubret&g=M)looks like he jumped ship from the IFBB after his 2nd place Olympia finish to Arnold in 1975. Had he stayed with the IFBB and kept the condition he had in previous Olympias, he would most likely have won at least one (though probably more) Olympia titles. He certainly had a body better than Columbu (1976 Olympia winner) and at least as good as Zane (1977-1979 Olympia winner).

Thats one of the many "what if" questions.Here`s a shot of Serge against Emmott in the NABBA Universe,in this condition Zane would have beat him in 77,78 and 79.But i think if Serge would have entered the 76 in the condition he was in,in 1975 ,he would have beat Franco.Thats why its pointless when people say Zane should never have won an Olympia but Serge,Robby,Bertil should have,Zane beat the people onstage THAT DAY,in THAT CONDITION.Imagine the 81 Olympia with Bertil and Sergio competing in the condition they had at the WABBA World that year.
