Newsday reports jets caught video taping signals
« on: December 12, 2007, 08:19:45 AM »
no video recording devices of any kind are permitted to be in use in the coaches' booth, on the field, or in the locker room during the game all video for coaching purposes must be shot from locations enclosed, on all sides with a roof overhead".

This is the NFL rule. The jets clearly broke the rule taping where they where caught, and have admitted to it. Last year before any reports of the pats doing anything like this the jets where caught video taping signals by the pats. The pats did not turn the jets in when they figured out what was going on, they asked the camera man  to leave. Not only that the jets contend they had permission to video during a playoff game. The situation in question happened during a regular season game. That said the jets claim they where given "permission" to video tape signals on the sidelines (yeah right). Only problem is the jets are contending they had this "permission" during a totally different game that they where reportedly caught taping in.

Ha ha this is classic. No one will care since the jets are perennial losers. This is hilarious though. Jets caught taping signals, they get away with it, and still screw it up.

Wonder why they asked you to leave Eric

There is a report in Newsday that a Jets employee was asked to leave Gillette Stadium last season, possibly for videotaping their coaches. Is that an accurate report?
"What we do every away game is tape our team from both end zones, whenever it's possible. We always ask for permission to do that. Usually it's granted, provided there is a physical space to do that, it's to get the same angle you get in practice. Anybody that asks us to do it, we extend the same courtesy. It's pretty common, one way or the other, depending on how teams like to like at their game tape. That's really what it was."

In other words, you thought you had permission but perhaps you didn't?
"No, we had permission." Mangini

And they still asked you to leave?
"Yes, they did."
