Title: 2014 NFL - ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?
Post by: ChopperRider on August 26, 2014, 07:57:35 PM
Okay you hand holding, female gymnast looking, can't bench press 100 lbs, bedwetting little Momma's boys.......the 2014 NFL season is upon us real men (that's real football for you Eurofag, Wayne Rooney worshipping, ponytail wearing non-American homos). With that said it is time for some fun and Getbag predictions.....

Here's what we are going to do to liven up this board (no homo).......predict (1) the Super Bowl Champs, (2) league MVP, and (3) pick a game of the week where two Getbaggers bet head to head on a one month "signature bet".

For example - my Predictions:

Super Bowl = Broncos

League MVP = Calvin Johnson

Week #1 Signature Bet = TBD (once two candidates step forward - I will pick the game)

Step up you slack-jawed phaggots, let's get this rolling to remove the stench of World Cup homosexuality that still lingers in the G&O!

I have a feeling the refs are going to own the shit out of the Hawks and 49s defense as were too "physical" and "aggressive" for the modern day NFL.

I.E. Manning got knocked around too much in the Bowl, so the NFL will make sure those evil defenses tone it down a notch.

broncos?

they lost VM moreno decker they will be lucky to win 10-12 games this year. you ould have been better off saying he colts if you like and AFC to take it all.

anyway.

new england will win the SB this year. and if they dont its only cause they got upset in the playoffs after they steamrolled thru the regular season. this is a team that has the ability to win 14-15 games this year. ef the stronges team in the afc, and prolly in the nfl.

best team in the nfc will be SEA. honourable mention to GB. they're a sleeper that will put up 12 wins.

the whole nfc east wont win as many games as GB and SEA combined.

league mvp- tom brady.

going with the Hawks again.

Wilson does nothing but get better and even though weve lost some key guys i think the experience will make up for it.

Plus ive been a hawks fan since before i had a choice (dads a diehard since they became a team), so ive got to enjoy them winning while i can.

Tough one. Have to wait until a few games into the season. But off the top of my head I'm going with Wilson.

There will be no "waiting until a few games into the season"......

One vote Russell Wilson!

(Personally I think him and Kaepernick will slump this year)

2 for Wilson,

I'm expecting a slump as well.

That way I'm not disappointed.

Pretty much sums up the mentality of every hardcore hawks fan ever.

Mam, all the bandwagon bitces in Seattle are crazy, they get good and suddenly the whole fucking CITY is a fan, everyones yelling 'go hawks'to each other while sipping their triple white machiatto Starbucks coffee with extra cock while writing their trendy gay love story on their white iPads..

Seattle is such a city full of trendy ipster faggets, suddenly is trendy to be a hawksnfam so EVERYONE has to be super fan....

Bitches.

Aren't you from N.Y. Not a Giants or Jets fan?

yes, I am from N. Y.

I am a Giants fan. And on ,,, february 17 of 2007? (no google i swear) i celebrated like a god damned mad man when the giants beat the patriots holy shit. i was at a huge superbowl party in park slope brooklyn at this really nice MILF's house (her son was all of our friend and he was away hahaha). Literally about 50 of us. She had a pull down projection screen and an actual theatre in the house

when we won

the streets ... were insane

people piled into them and were just running around brooklyn ..

it wasn't even chaos. it was like all good feelings.  it was brooklyn yes but no blood was shed.

one Massachussettes license plate car was flipped.

I was fucking with chopper ridder above about my picks because I like to fuck with him. All of his posts don't suck, but I find him to be a little gay sometimes, and I imagine him to be some little angry manlet in real life.

My real picks are:

Superbowl: Pats

MVP: Brady

2nd pick would be

Superbowl: Seahawks

MVP: Megatron

My theory on why the PAts and brady will do it this year is two fold. THey are going into camp with a healthy Gronk, and a healthy receiving corp. Their defense is beast. I just have a feeling that for ALL of brady's GLORIOUS post season failures (eli manning will haunt him until he's dead) that this is his year. He won't put up numbers ilke he did in 06 07 with moss... but i mean.. that was spectacular

I think Calvin Johnson goes over 2,000 yards receiving this year and they have to give it to him.

Okay Gentlemen.....time for the signature bet!!!!!!

Here's how it works:

One Getbagger picks one of the two teams designated in the game of the week, the second participant picks the other team. Smack talking shall be encouraged and egged on.

The bet is straight up to win, no points. The winner gets to pick what the loser uses as his signature for the next two weeks. The signature choice can be as offensive as you want.....I'd encourage that to make this more fun.

For Week #1 the game is Seattle vs Green Bay:

Rambone = has picked Green Bay

We still need someone (Coach?) to step up and take Seattle. So who has the nards to pick the Seahawks?

Alright chopper let's make a temporary peace agreemeent i'm stepping up

Because there is no fucking way the seahawks are losing to Green bay!

I will bet $100 on that (literally, anyone wanna do this PM me and i GUARANTEE you I will pay if I lose if you do as well)

Green bay has a weak ass defensive front

They have way too many mish mashes with whaty they throw out at safety ...  build some consistency. they get REAMED on the long ball

Middle linebacker? need i say more? haha

on that note... starting center (:

NOT A CHANCE green bay defeats the reigning champs in week 1 / FUckkkk that

With that said it is time for some fun and Getbag predictions.....

Super Bowl = Broncos

Step up you slack-jawed phaggots, let's get this rolling to remove the stench of World Cup homosexuality that still lingers in the G&O!

So the "rebuilding stage" for the Patriots is the AFC Championship game? The one that they lost without their best offensive weapon (Gronk)?

I'll take it.

The Patriots would have given the Seahawks a better fight in the Superbowl as well.

Professional sports for the most part (and the NFL really is but not as much as the NBA) are totally ghetto-ized and thereby unworthy of attention by anyone with an IQ above 70.   Football sucks.

You can have it.  I would sooner watch paint dry. But won't.  ;D

You don't have to rebuild when you play in the shittiest division in football for the past 14 years.

QFT. A losing season in the AFC East is 10-6.

Win the division, get a first round bye, play Cincy on week 2 and boom, you're in the AFC title game.

The NFC East is horrible. It has been for many years.

Just look at the Cowboys record. Mediocre.

When is the last time the Redskins have been good?

The Eagles........... 2004?

And lastly the dogshit Giants. Led by a quarterback with down syndrome. Who may actually get cut after this season.

The lord smiles on the tards.

Interesting, we were talking about the AFC east and that's your response.

But, I'll take the QB with "down" (dumbass) syndrome.  The one that owned NE in the Super Bowl twice and was able to win the big game without the benefit of having tapes of the other teams walkthroughs.  Something Brady hasn't been able to do yet.

The Giants will never be a dynasty.

The Patriots had a dynasty. I know it hurts bro.

60's Packers
70's Steelers
80's 49ers
90's Cowboys
2000's Patriots

History. Deal with it  :-*

Decade old dynasties that haven't won since they were busted cheating don't really affect me.

I'll take my two more recent Super Bowls and all the context that surrounded them any day.

Imagine if it wasn't for Eli and the Giants?  It could have erased all the doubt around the Cheatriots.

I know it hurts.

agreed w all this.

now they have revis, a healthy wilfork clogging up the middle, a healthy gronk and they are going back to the 3TE set that let them move the ball at will in the air.

id say its more 're built' than 'rebuilding'.

Busted cheating.... Lol!!! Even our Boy Bill Parcells says that every team tries to get an advantage like that. He also said that every team changes signals/playcalls every week.

That is just people butthurt at the Patriots success over the years.

Remember the recent Saints scandal? The owner of the Saints had the opposing team bugged.

Every team has tv's in the locker room, and dudes that will run out and tell the coach every bit of info they can.

"Spygate was a copout". Fyi: The Patriots went 18-0 the year the scandal came out (early in the season)

They were just good.

Over the years a decade ago.  But the NFL took it pretty seriously, fining the coach 500k and taking away draft picks.

Remember the recent Saints scandal? The owner of the Saints had the opposing team bugged.

I'll address this if Saints fans are still acting like their team is special 10 years after they've won a SB.

Yes, I remember that year.  It was phenomenal.   ;)

They were just good.

They were.  But they haven't won a Super Bowl without the benefit of video taping the opposing teams' walk throughs.  That's the facts surrounding this team, and it will be part of their legacy unless they prove otherwise.  I actually listen to sports radio up here.  Fans are aware of this.

I got the bears vs ne in the superbowl with bears pulling the upset

Addition of santonio holmes with the other 2 beast WR and the black unicorn at TE, top 3 running back and a under rated oline and qb that was 2nd highest scoring offense last year I don't see how they don't lead the league this year in scoring with Denver losing decker. I'm a Steelers fan and I know they suck now but at least I got to see them win two Superbowls in my lifetime (so far).....i don't think Peyton is gonna get as much "love" as he got last year...i think a mediocre team will win the AFC..Maybe the Bengals or the Chiefs...The Pats got no running game ....Although Green-Ellis just got cut maybe they can get him back...Brady has to put up a lot of points cause the D sucks.....p.s.. didn't they Draft a QB?.... (decline).....NFL I really don't care but the Seahawks didn't really lose any players...but now Sherman has the Madden curse ;D...who knows...Everyone says watch out for Arizona haha......I also think your #32 team Jacksonville will have a great season......hope this helps..

yes, I am from N.

Eli's done. Eagles will win the division again.

No matter how fans try to justify it, it's part of their history.

That's a stupid thing to say "regardless they haven't won since...." ::) who cares if they won by less than a TD that's irrelevant, so what's your point?

My point is the "cheating" that all these sheeps keep regurgitating is BS, look at the pats records and they have been competitive for how long even after?

U know how hard it is to win a SB??

Okay! Cowboys haven't won since 95, niners since 94! How many others haven't won?? Guess they were all cheating going by your analogy ::)

Okay! C

It's not stupid. It's fact.

Nobody's denying the Pats have still been competitive, although they are greatly helped by playing in a division that has sucked overall for the last 14 years.  They have a great coach, a HoF QB, draft well, etc.

But when you break it down, they won 3 SB by less than a TD with the benefit of seeing the other teams first 20-25 plays.  They lost two SB by less than a TD without it.  Pats fans up here combat this by dismissing it as nonsense.  But to rational people it gives pause.  Can it be proven to have affected the game?  No.  But it still happened as is part of the Patriot's history and part of their reputation.

The Eagles an Giants are bi-polar, and the Redskins have not been a real threat in years.

Grape Ape would have you believe that the east is a juggernaut.

In reality, its been about who has sucked the least wins the division.

The NFC east has nothing to do with the Patriots easy division or tainted legacy.

You have to have a legacy to have it tainted  ;)

Besides, did you forget that the Jets made it to two AFC championship games a few years ago?

When is the last time an NFC East team went to the championship game?

Eagles in 2004?

You could argue on that stat alone that the AFC East is a more competetive division.

It was actually 2012 ;)

And before that the eagles made it there in 2008 I believe??

If you're proud of your decade old tainted legacy, that's fine.  Nobody can take that away from you.

If you want to argue that the AFC is/has been competitive, you can do that too.  You should call sports radio up here and make that argument.  See how many of your fellow Pats fans agree.

True, but the NFC East fans are also blind. This ain't your daddy's NFC East.

It's filled with mediocre teams. The only good part about it, is that someone has to win it.

Now tell me why the Patriots dominance of the AFC East is a knock against them?

Good teams beat up on inferior competition.

Which means there have not been standout teams in the NFC East.

Who said it's a knock.  It's just a fact that the Pats benefit from playing in a division that has sucked for the past 14 years.  You'd think they'd be able to squeak one untainted title out of it.  And  they would have, if it wasn't for Eli and the Giants.

49ers are probably going to have a down year. The defense lost some key free agents as well as bomb threats and a woman beater.

Michael:

Our quarterback is a game of blackjack. There is always the possibility of hitting 21 but it's more likely that he busts when it's first and goal from the five in the Super Bowl, or when he is driving against the most unlikeable team this side of Ferguson PD Softball for another shot at a championship. Our running back is too accomplished to bench but too slow to win a middle school track meet. Our best defensive player's leg snapped in half and won't be back until we are at least 2 games behind the Seahawks. Our young defensive stud is about to be suspended for maybe 8 games and couldn't go through an airport security line sober enough to not yell "bomb" like a fucking six-year-old with conduct disorder. Our front office's plan for the secondary this offseason was, "Let's get way worse."

The real reason we suck are the fans. I am a 24 year old Niner fan, and whenever my roommate, who is a Seahawk fan and therefore the absolute worst right now, mentions the Super Bowl last year, I point out how historic and wonderful my Niners are. To be clear, I was 5 during the last Super Bowl they won and have lived most of my life watching them fail miserably.

The older Niner fans are even worse. These are people that watched Joe Montana crush, so when it comes to quarterbacking they still believe that innocent white Alex Smith is better than Kaepernick. Kaepernick has his flaws, but at least he can grip a ball in the rain and win a 12-year-old punt pass and kick competition. These people see tattoos on a quarterback and in true San Francisco fashion are able to come up with more entrepreneurial ways to say ,"He's too black to WIN!"

Fuck Richard Sherman, but really fuck the Niners for making him a thing.

Bodybuilding related. Heard this on ESPN radio Colin Cowherd about a month ago. Chip Kelly has got the Eagles on on a diet and conditioning program unlike any others in the NFL. He will not divulge anymore info than that. All of his O lineman go between 310 and 315 or so so that they can run the Offensive scheme and plays as fast as possible. Love, Chip Kelly guy thinks out of the box.

I have asked OMR if he can contact The Great Ronaldo to have the signatures lengthened beyond one character.

You're a good sport about this.....the Seahawks looked like a prime Mike Tyson last night. No one is going to want them on the schedule.

Us seattlites finally getting a team worth a shit. Hell, its only been 40-some odd years, its about time.

As a longtime hawks fan though, im always ready for them to blow a 40pt lead in the 4th quarter.

Ill never feel comfortable in a lead, ever.

You must not know football son. The Dolphins beat the Patriots in Miami last year. They also went up big in New England, until a late rally by the Pats.

A true Getbigger takes a week 1, Patriots vs. Dolphins in Miami.

I am scared.

Was it me or was the game just boring last night?  NFL seems watered down lately.  Too many commericals, stupid ref calls and just bad football.

Sorry to Rambone

This was a bone for me

I saw you picked green bay and nobody took Seahawks yet... Couldn't believe it

You're a good sport tho man it was a boring game Cause Rogers didn't throw at Sherman (or anywhere outside of 5 yards from LOS on right side of field for that matter).

It's reminding me of 2009
Revis (Sherman is)

I personally think Seahawks should be out of pool for year and we definitely shouldn't let it be a sig game w them involved for 6
Weeks

They're like a madden X HOf team (not the talent,
The collective execution)

They were toying with mccarthy's schemes ("maybe we can get Sherman to
Go to the left to leave his comfort zone! " Haha idiot.
Their cover 3 system is built to NEVER adapt even on "full" blitz Sherman hangs as the , technically transitioning into a free safety roaming on the right ). You can't break them

And shizzo pipe down slut

Bodybuilding related. Heard this on ESPN radio Colin Cowherd about a month ago. Chip Kelly has got the Eagles on on a diet and conditioning program unlike any others in the NFL. He will not divulge anymore info than that. All of his O lineman go between 310 and 315 or so so that they can run the Offensive scheme and plays as fast as possible. Love, Chip Kelly guy thinks out of the box.

I don't think this ends well though

His thinking outside the box is praised

But really the consummate end game in the nfl- Super Bowl win- is very very hard to attain

I doubt he keeps his job at eagles for over 3 years

Because with that fan base and these expectations he needs to get to 2nd round

Eagles will never get to second round in next five years at least

As a long time Eagles fan all I can say is we will see. The defense needs to be better to get further into the playoffs.

I respect that view 100% and let me put it this way: i don't think there's a single fringe team as enticing as the eagles to me. People talk about the cowboys but this year they will NOT make the playoffs (speaking of fringe teams not in terms of playoffs but in terms of "how good are they really? Are they truly formidable?")

Cowboys: NO

Panthers: NO

Eagles: MAYBE and we have to remember that before week 1 even began,
We all know the eagles have their ticket to the playoffs in hand.. A product of a weak fuckig division that's coming from a life long giants can

But maybe they have substance? Maybe the D will improve, maybe Chip is really a genius

I'm watching closely. Good luck this year . The giants are too disappointing for me to keep on breaking walls after losses I just watch for the first Eli interception face then usually turn it off

It's a shame the Giant's suck. Eagles and Giants have the longest, best rivalry in NFL. Not to mention used to be the best division in football.

Respect man

I agree

It's a shame

At least your team isn't so disparaging it's difficult
To watch

You guys have a promising future

We really are in no man's land

Trust me: I miss the rivalry

I miss taking amtrak to Philly in my
Giants gear and all the funny trash talk (no fights
Ever just talk)

I love goin to giants games and watching 2
Or 3 Philly fans together try to pop off
With 100 of us (again no fights,
Just good
Fun).

Now it's crickets

For us at least

We r laughing stock of nfl
From
GM
Down to QB despite our 2
Wins

Good choice

It's either that or bears 49ers

In terms of high level competition

Chiefs are such an anomaly to football fans

Ultimate team of logic . Game management. Clock management. Solid, consistent coaching

Alex smith is the reason fully (for the anomaly)

someone bet

it's a fucking good match up

if nobody makes a fucking bet i am going to take the chiefs BECAUSE vegas and anyone with logic says they will lose

if this is CR approved (it's his thread, so whatever. i just enjoy it and am amazed by thte level  of faggat on this board and in this thread for nobody stepping up for the 2nd week of fucking football.......)

so i will take the chiefs for the sig bet. if nobody can man up and choose by tomorrow.
