Is an "Action star" ever really A-lister since the 80s?

I mean, you have A-listers who do action movies, but really, that's not what they consider themselves as a niche... Or am I confused?

I'm confused about that too. Since Spawn the last big part he had was in The Dark Knight.

He's getting up there in age as well. He will be 44 in November.
