What's your bench right now?  Heavy dips and close grips will add pounds to the bench, as will rotator cuff exercises.  It's hard to maintain or gain strength will losing weight, but is possible if you do it gradually.

My best so far is 375. I've come close to 380 on several occasions, but can't seem to get past that barrier. I think I'll get 400 sometime this summer.

Yes, I'm trying to lose weight gradually (a few pounds per week). I weighed in at 242 this morning.

How are you gonna gain strength AND lose 35lbs?  Not gonna happen.

How much weight are you planning to lose?

Also, partial rack lockouts should help getting through the sticking point.

Usually your gonna have to see some growth in your tri's, so I would hit them hard too.  When ever I see increases in my chest I see it in my tris also.

This format is much better actually, I mean its easier to read it set by set in multiple rows than it is follow a bunch of numbers written in a row.

Yeah, I don't know why the mods changed the formatting. Putting it all on the same row is an eyesore.

Just to clarify, my goal is to get 21 total reps on the 5 bench sets. Once I total 21 reps, I add 5 lb to the bar next week.

BTW, I almost never train to failure. I always stop short of true muscular failure.

Definitely a down day on the bench. My strength does tend to fluctuate more when training hard. I always seem stronger on Saturday mornings.

My goal at this point is to weigh around 210 by the end of July, and get stronger at the same time. I'm currently 238.

I'm pretty soft at this weight, so I don't see the point in posting pics. I will definitely post pics once I get to 210.

No, I would like to keep my spinal cord intact. If you haven't been injured doing deadlifts and squats, you either haven't been lifting heavy or are one of the lucky few who aren't susceptible to injury.

To be honest i agree about deads. You do them right you will have a strong back the rest of your life. same with deads. I have seen 60yr old and 70yr olds dead and squat and look 20years yound=ger.
