What you just said is dumb beyond belief, or you just have no idea what you're talking about.

Running a little over 2 miles at a good pace does not mean you can do a 10 mile Tough Mudder.  It's not in the same universe.

Even if you're really good at "fighting" through the lactic acid burn a serious set of tricep kick backs can generate.

http://toughmudder.com/obstacles/

how about this, go get a yoke, a plow, find an empty field. Muddy up said empty field, get under yoke and do a a "mud plow" as fast as you can.

Chances are no tough mudder will be a strenuous as that.

You seem to know a lot about getting your mud plowed.   Are there things?

no, it's something that I came up with. When I was watching the fields get plowed at my grandmother's farm. Granted they used a tractor. And I mentioned it months ago

But, think about it. A field, 100 yards long. Modified yokes, and a plow. A muddy field. You are wearing work boots. You race 1 or more people either to the end, or up and down. The mud, and the plow add resistance. Great cardio and a quad workout at the same time.

No doubt it would be ridiculously hard.

Cool - they just announced one for April 13, 2013 at Citi Field where the Mets play.

I already signed up.

NYC Getbiggers up for this?

I'm getting shoulder surgery on Feb 1, just found out today.  Tough Mudder in May will be difficult, but I already paid the cash, so I'm going to have to make it work.

How bad were the electroshocks at Tough Mudder during the electric eel and the electroshock therapy?
How bad was the arctic enema?
My buddies and I are doing a TM in exactly 2 weeks from today (Miami)
Not looking forward to those shocks and that ice.

This GoRuck thing is for real.   Just got the bag and the bricks.   Time for wrapping them.

What are they wrapped in?  Is it just to make a 30lb backpack?

Electric Eel was the worst obstacle for me. So muddy that it's hard to crawl or get any grip, so the one wire that got you on the shoulder then gets you in the lower back and then the calf. It is quite a jolt. Electroshock wasn't as bad, just go full speed through it and you will be fine.

Arctic enema was not pleasant, but not as bad as I expected. When you duck under the beam in the middle be prepared for a bit of a shock, the amount of ice on the other side is crazy so getting to the surface was actually quite difficult. When you get out you will be bright red, but a couple minutes after you feel fine.

Funky Monkey was the most fun. We had an obstacle called the "Jesus Walk, about a quarter mile of knee deep muddy water, with random deep trenches, so you would be happily running along and the next second you would be over your head in water, that was real entertaining. Mount Everest was also a lot of fun.

It's a really fun event though, ton of people and lots of hot chicks. Enjoy it dude

Lol.   Dude i will crush you.   Have posted many pics.   Ill post some fom these soon.  Im happy finishing in top 13% overall considering i never did this before and there were so many people there.   Only room for improvement from here.

The only thing you will crush is your computer chair.

Hope this helps.

You were probably 30-35 lbs heavier then the average guy in the top 10%. I wouldn't bother trying to compare to a couple of running stick men.

Looks gay since they don't keep who is 1st, 2nd, 1000th, etc...

Its really fun.  Was a lot more fun than i anticipated.

how are they able to make sure everyone does all of it and doesn't cheat? Spotters at each station?
