They will have to find a donor first (hopefully one of his relatives) if he is waiting for a cadaveric, he will probably die on dialysis (avg. life expectancy is 6-8 yrs) and the wait list is HUGE! Not trying to be negative just realistic.

Guy is a complete idiot and an example how reckless use of drugs (AAS, Narcotics, Stimulants, Sedatives, Analgesics) can ruin your health.

Hypertension was probably contributory (mostly drug induced) but no way someone in their thirties has renal failure purely from essential htn.

Also, he probably does have AIDS.

I am a kidney specialist. Average life expectancy on dialysis is four years if you are diabetic and five years if not. Obviously, this is for all comers so younger dialysis patients do better. Leading cause of death is infection or cardiovascular disease.
