Me and Arnold are around the same height, I'm 6'2 bare feet and always lean give or take 205-210, my guess is Arnold in 1980 was around 215 max, conditioning over size
Crazy how we have 212 competitors who are 5'4 in height these days imo that doesn't look good at all carrying that much weight being that short, even Lee priest who is 5'4 looked his best around the 199 mark I think
Btw, Arnold has lost a tremendous amount of height in recent years (easily 3"). I met him in 2002 at the Arnold's. I'm 5'10" and he had 3-4" on me at that time. I had to lean back my head to look up to him. I saw him again last year at the Arnolds. He was fractionally taller than me, but the difference in height was virtually unnoticeable. Poor guy. His entire upper body has collapsed. He's extremely compressed (spine/neck). He's also had a hip replacement which shaved off some height as well.
Now as for weight, I can tell you that 205-210 at 6'2" is very lean. I went as high as 240 when I lived in the gym. Today I'm in my 190's and look lean. Lee Priest going up to 270 in the offseason at 5'3" is as ridiculous as Yates going up to 305 and Ronnie and Nasser going up to 330 (all 3 guys were around my height...5'10"ish). Arnold gave off the illusion of weighing much more than he actually did. I always wondered what he would have looked like at 280 as he joked with Lou at the end of Pumping Iron how Lou's mother was going to cook pasta for him and he would get up to 280 pounds..haha. I believe the most he ever weighed was 260 pounds and when you consider that he had a 57" or 58" chest and 22" arms with low bodyfat and 0 gut, that's damn impressive.
