Thank you mate, the paintwork I’m not sure what she used I leave all painting/decorating to the woman as I don’t have the patience for it I normally just paint everything white to highlight any bits in the plaster that needs attention as I’m not the best at plastering but can do a reasonable job but often have to get the easy fill out after haha

Walls were battened and boarded then skimmed with multi finish

Wanted oak for the floor but ended up going for carpet for the dog as his nails on wood would do my head in and the house was built out of square by quite a lot (not sure why but appears to be on purpose) and the carpet hides it. Wanted the house to be true to the era it was built (1935) as the previous owner ripped it all out so reinstated the picture rail and other woodwork although some bits changed the style to suit tastes

Due to the work needed I got the house for 60k less than the same house a few doors down was up for at the time so saved a lot although some days when I weigh up what’s still left to do I wish I’d just paid the extra haha

Not sure long term mate, currently our home and the woman doesent want to move till the kids leave school as its directly behind our house, Also not sure if I ever want another mortgage either as like the feeling of freedom (never having to work job I’d hate for fear of losing home ect) but would be forced to get a mortgage again if i rented it out rather than sold if we decide to move, i still several years till both kids finish school so plenty time to decide

I think The West is being Rope-A-Doped over a common cold strain.

I have no evidence of any excess mortality globally. And the data is coming out.

Also, after a year of a "global pandemic", it's safe to say that we would know someone who has died of COVID by now.

I'm saying this because I'm jealous of that gyms are open in your state. That's how I interpreted your post. Unless you do home workouts?

That's fantastic! I really look up to people who can that kind of work. I can't do shit. I worked at a hardware store for a couple of years and learned a lot. I can install toilet or an a/c but the kind of stuff you do is on a whole different level. My uncle built his own house that he still lives in today (over 40 years) and is still at it at 86 years old. His sons, my cousins, are pretty handy as well. One of them sold high end watches for Ben Bridge Jewlers for over twenty years before being laid off due to Covid but went into business for himself doing this kind of remodeling work. He's doing better now and has more work than he can handle. In Hawaii, once people get a house they keep it forever and pass it down generation to generation, so the remodel and add rather than move as housing is so expensive.

I was even blown away at how Josh transformed his little hovel in the middle of nowhere into a very cozy, comfortable looking get-away-from-it-all place.
