why is levrone not recognized for his strength?
« on: April 01, 2006, 09:07:02 PM »
I don't think it's hard to see, this man is stronger than Coleman, upper body at least...

look no further than the 98 BFTO tape

405 x 6, 455 x 6, 495 x 3 on flat BP 12 days out of the olympia at around 255 lbs.

then 405 x 6 on incline followed with 455 x 4

not to mention full range reps too.

I haven't seen much of it, but didn't levrone somewhere claim a 755 x 10 squat :o

pushing movements are generally how one defines upper body strength, so yes, could you imagine levrone's strength at 320 like coleman offseason/

He was not strong on anything but bench. What about back strength? How much did he deadlift? He was on 3000 grams of Test a week so I am not surprised that he was strong before a contest

495 x 3 12 days out...compared to coleman 495 x 5 half reps full blown offseason...300+ lbs.

I have no idea how much levrone deadlifted, but personally, i would define upper body strength as pushing capabilioty. For back, I would just say back strength. and for legs, lower body strength.

What a joke ::) You obviously have the "beach muscles" mentality where bench is all that matters. It is a good thing the weather is getting warmer so you can take your "beach body" to the beach and impress the ladies ::)

He grows into a contest though, so it is not really that impressive.

considering Kevin looks like shit in the offseason...He is one of the only few who gain weight for a show, its easy to see that Kevin would be stronger up to the show then normal....Imagain what this guys joints look like?

if those bench numbers are true then thats extremely impressive.
ronald has tons of video clips circulating the net of his feats, thats why he is so widely recognized. i have never seen a clip of levrone benching.

check out BFTO 98 it is well worth it

I watch his training segment all the time before I hit the weights

it's intense 8)

also overall I think it is the best BFTO

because a deadlift is such a great gauge of upper body strength. it's not lower back, glutes, hips, and hamstrings, no. its upper body.

I was in one of the gyms they shoot those in, and in between takes I needed an extra plate, so I grabbed one that they were using and it was fake. Levrone looked at me mean and said, "Keep you mouth shut about that kid." I was shocked. :'(
