because a deadlift is such a great gauge of upper body strength. it's not lower back, glutes, hips, and hamstrings, no. its upper body.

I was in one of the gyms they shoot those in, and in between takes I needed an extra plate, so I grabbed one that they were using and it was fake. Levrone looked at me mean and said, "Keep you mouth shut about that kid." I was shocked.

so instead of doing 500 for 3 he would've done it for 2.5

Part of it has to be the fact that he gains weight for a show.

This is BB, I don't ever want to see them skinny (NEVER). I want them at max size 24/7/365 with the exception of cutting for a show. We all  know that they take "supplements" but seeing someone grow for a show reminds us of the "dark side" of BB.

he also curled 100lb dumbbells for reps and thats something i dont see too many pros doing, Ronnie included. Thats not to say Ronnie cant lift them, but ive never seen him use them for curls

I saw a pic of Jay in MD yesterday shoulder pressing the 180's with a fake look on his face. He admitted himself he never uses more than the 160's for anything - pressing included. Ive also seen pics of him doing concentration curls with 100lbs but i doubt they were real dumbbells. He doesnt posess anywhere near that strength in his DVDs

no he didn't, he benched 405 for 10 on flat, 405 for 8 on inclines and 405 for 10 on decline, i think that Levrone, Cormier and Dennis James are all stronger than Ronnie on pressing movements but Ronnie has them by far on squats, leg press, deads, rows.

barbell presses are harder no doubt but pressing 405 on the Smith is no picnic either, the thing that's hard about the Smith is that it doesn't matter how far you lean back or twist your body that bar stays on that track no matter what, on Cost of Redemption Ronnie did 6 reps with the 160's for shoulder presses and 315 for 12 on the Unbelievable i doubt that he could press 405 seated though i'd put his max around 375-380, you have to remember that Ronnie only goes three quarters of the way up on presses, if he locked out each rep the reps would decrease by a few.

 not lockin out keeps the tension on the muscle which makes the movement harder...because ur muscle fatigues quicker
