I love johns writeing , he is one of my favorite authors , plus he is a good guy to boot, a realy funny bastard , along with a very good sence of the sport with some brains to go with it , this makes him one of the best opinions and authors being published in the sport today , !!!

He did use some stale phrases tonight, and was a tad pompous. But he did make it clear that MD is behind the Pro Division. A few times, he even straight up disagreed with the IFBB shills on the show and expressed a real opinion, once stating the PDI will be around in 3+ years.

Romano dissed getbig like crazy 18 months ago, calling out our opinions, animated gifs, fake webpages, etc. However, over the last year and a half, MD's Blechman, Mannien, and Cara have started coming here more and more. Getbig and Ron are mentioned more and more in the mag.

Perhaps MD is doing a little forward thinking, realizing that Wayne's PDI and message boards very well could be the way of the future. Props to them for it.

What's the consesus from the peanut gallery on that?

I respectfully disagree with you John. If he wasn't setting out to rival the IFBB, the big announcements coming wouldn't revolve around what IFBB Pros are coming on board the PDI. He also wouldn't use NOC which has always been associated with the IFBB, yes I'm aware he owns the name and can do as he wishes but it is pretty clear his intentions are to create an organization that rivals the IFBB.

From MD's point of view, it's more contests to cover!
From the fans' point of view, it's more variety, better, and higher number of shows!
From the Athlete's point of view, it's more paydays and more chances to earn.

The only group not reaping the benefits are the IFBB and its monopolistic hold on low paying and semi-rigged shows.

I don't see where the problem is.

Its sooo funny to see people who may not have DIRECT contracts with Wieder or AMI or IFBB but have working relaitonships and alot of "quid pro quo" going on about ... hey its good for business and other overtly denial type remarks.. just call it as it is.

I dont care who gets the money, cause they dont get mine .. just want to see the best athletes get the recognition not the friggin gifts they been givin out since the 1980 Olympia..
