Cats overall are far better then dogs. both in the wild and as pets.

I have had a dog and now I have cats.  I can't say which I prefer as I love both and they are both different.  I love how cats sit on your lap though and my mocha presses her face into me to cuddle.  I find that if you have a really spoiled cat she will try to rule the home which I have in my case.

Two cats, one dog. Dogs make you feel in charge, powerful, almost a god when they look at you as their lives depend on you. Cats will seduce you, make you feel like you belong, drag you in a world of bliss. They're good at human resources.

Wow, amazingly beautiful cats.  I think I could probably find it on my own.  I have travelled and am used to finding places on my own although it's always nice to have help.  I have heard about this famous ice machine but I doubt with how busy Bob is that he would stand around it too much...he's pretty much on the go.  I met him at the New York Pro briefly and he was a busy man.

Cats are scary and except for the Lion, asocial.

Dogs are indeed much more adapted to life with humans. They are social beyond the infantile way cats are social towards humans.

Can't believe their are so many cat people on GB.  I would have figured everyone was an alpha with a juiced up looking pitbull or at least something similar.
I've been a dog person my whole life, and always thought cats were boring and suited for old women.  My opinion has changed recently, as my GF's parents have a 5 month old kitten that I really like though.  She's really playful and crazy as shit!  Also wicked cute since she's blind in one eye, has 7 toes per foot, and has a bobtail.

I have moved house since this footage was taken, and I have carpet now, but it was funny to watch the cat skid all over the place.  Max is actually a female (her name was Maxine, but we just call her Max).  She gets really excited, and she used to slide into doors and other things because she would run full sprint and then try and stop at the last moment and she would end up sliding quite a way.  She is quite social, she rarely leaves my side when I am home and she sleeps on the bed most nights,  I often awake with her sitting on top of my shoulders or nestled in amongst my legs.

I don't know what neighbourhood you live in, but I found it the other way around.  Any time I go to a dog owners house, the stench is awful.  Dogs are dirty animals, they have terrible flatulence and the older they get, the more stench they throw out.  Cats on the other hand are fastidiously clean, they are constantly cleaning and grooming themselves, they are easily toilet trained and even bury their faeces.  Their urine is quite potent but sinks to the bottom of the litter tray, and although when they defecate, the smell is quite bad but only lasts a short time.  If you change the litter tray regularly, allow your cats some outdoor time and feed the cat good quality food you will never have a problem with smell.

Exactly.  Its impossible to rid that smell unless you basically tear down the house  :D.  Cats are filthy and disgusting.  Plus I absolutely cannot stand the way they look.  The little sounds they make are so annoying as well and make me cringe everytime I hear it, similar to a baby whining.  Cats are as repulsive as babies.

I never said dog where clean. But they learn to go outside. So waste in the house isn't an issue. Cat urine and shit can be used as a toxic weapon. Oh, and cat's spit bath? They have a much higher bacterial concentration in their saliva compared to both humans and dogs.

Cats are disgusting creatures with limited intelligence.  Dog any day.

cats are very smart.. their intelligence is just not the same type as dogs.. they cant be easily trained to obey your orders as dogs to sit and come and go but this doesnt make them less intelligent..

Cats need no training. Most of them know have to behave and are too independent to serve.

sure dogs are smarter in many things but what i meant is that there are many types of intelligence,.. for example hunting skills show intelligence and here cats are better than dogs.. but because dogs are clever in communicating with ppl we consider them smart.. in other words u can compare the intelligence of 2 dogs but not the intelligence of a dog and that of a cat or any other animal..

TA I have to say you're wrong on this, let me explain (I took care of a cat colony for almost 20 years so I learned a thing or two).

The cat didn't go inside because if there is the possibility of an hostile dog nearby it would be fatal.
Before going inside to sleep the cat must be absolutely sure there are no dogs.
I found a couple of times dead cats who find themselves trapped with no way out in a "cat house" like you kindly build.

We have 2 dogs and 4 "feral" (not really anymore) cats.  We have a cat house with a heat lamp in the garage in the winter.  They love it.  The dogs and cats basically ignore eachother.  We just put down a 5th cat - the matriarch.  She was about 13.

Islam forbids Muslims to keep dogs, and the punishment for that is that the one who does that loses one or two qiraats from his hasanaat (good deeds) each day. An exception has been made in the case of keeping dogs for hunting, guarding livestock and guarding crops.

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet  said: “Whoever keeps a dog, except a dog for herding, hunting or farming, one qiraat will be deducted from his reward each day.”

It was narrated that ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar said: The Messenger of Allaah  said: “Whoever keeps a dog, except a dog for herding livestock or a dog that is trained for hunting, two qiraats will be deducted from his reward each day.”

It is not permissible to keep dogs except for hunting or guarding livestock and crops, and it is permissible to keep them for guarding houses so long as that is outside the city and that there is no other means of guarding the house.

Big Cats (06-2007).

Roar lion roar
You are the king
In any war
Victory your bring

Go tiger go
With your mighty will
Use your jaw
Tear, fight, and, kill

Creep leopard creep
With no fear
Silence you keep
Till you catch that deer

Hop jaguar hop
Jump from the tree
Attack this antelope
Don't let him flee

Run Cheetah run
With a proud face
You are number one
When we make a race

Come on puma come on
Beat this bear
She is half a ton
But you don't care.

This cat gets this monthīs Honey Badger Award....it just doesnīt give a shit   8)

Cats....by far. Tho I do like dogs.

Ive mostly had the long haired ones. They are bred for their bright, affectionate, gentle natures. Ive said it before and I'll say it again they're my fur kids and if anyone ever laid a finder in either of them well it would be their last day on earth. I'd do time for my pets if need be. The more I get to know how cool and what awesome creatures they are the more I disdain the human race for some reason.

Why would you slap a cat in the face?  That's weird and cruel.  No wonder the cat scratched you, it obviously could sense that you are cruel around cats and didn't like you.  No animal deserves to be hurt or mistreated.  There are no excuses ever!

I don't agree with that, how do you propose you pull a pitbulls jaws of a two year olds face during one of it's regular mauling sessions.  Just ask it nicely!  And like any behaviour, punishment has it's place.

scratched my 2 yrold nephew across the arm for no reason.
Some animals respond well to physical discipline or the threat of it.  Cats simply DO NOT.
Any hint of a threat of physical punishment and you risk having that cat as an enemy for life and more than likely worsen any problem behaviour, if you piss a cat of, they find ways to do the same to you, some times in amusing ways.  Anyway, a squirt from a water bottle can be an effective way to discipline a cat, but must be done during or right after the problem behaviour.  Cats can be next to impossible to discipline, they simply don't respond very well, fortunately most domestic cats are very clever and not in need of any severe discipline.  And it may appear that a cat will scratch for no reason, but the cat won't see it that way, you really have too take the time to get to know your cat, some cats won't accept being handled in a certain way, or being petted in a certain spot, generally a swipe with a little bit of claw is a warning to modify how you treat the cat, be mindful of what you are doing while spending time with the cat, it won't take long for you to work out why it is behaving the way it does.

Most cats don't like two year olds because they are rough with animals and hurt them not intentionally though.

but when my kid was around 2 he was very nice with our cat ;D

I don't agree with that, how do you propose you pull a pitbulls jaws of a two year olds face during one of it's regular mauling sessions.  Just ask it nicely!  And like any behaviour, punishment has it's place.

A cat isn't a pitbull.  And in most cases I believe it's the owner who made the dog vicious and mistreated for it to attack and hate people.  I grew up with a doberman and my family treated it like a human and she was so incredibly sweet and loveable.  Of course she would attack probably if she sensed someone was going to hurt one of us, but otherwise she was very gentle.  I have pics of my 6 month old son sleeping in bed and our doberman and my lab on the end of the bed sleeping too.  I trusted her around my children, I knew she would never ever hurt them or bite them.  She was raised in a loving caring environment.

Nobody was saying a cat is a pitbull, you said animals never deserve to be hurt or mistreated ever.  Which is nonsense, if you find yourself getting mauled by a pitbull you will soon kindly beat that fucker to death.  And Dobermans aren't pitbulls, and the nonsense belief that "It's how you raise them" is simply propaganda that is used by dangerous dog owners who try and convince the naive public, it contradicts the existence of every other behavior-specific breed on the planet  The BLOODLINES is everything, check out the name of the UKC's magazine, it's called BLOODLINES for a reason.  If it was simply a matter of training, you could easily use any one of the 400 odd available breeds to teach how to fight.  Heelers don't need to be trained to nip at the heel of a cow, Pointers don't need to be trained to Point, Bugles don't need to be trained to bugle, Greyhounds don't need to be trained to Run Fast, thanks to their genetics, it occurs to them naturally, same way aggression does in fighting breeds of dog.  If you owned a dangerous breed of dog, and it was well behaved, it's not because as an owner you have some miraculous Loving and Nurturing ability, you have simply received a dog from a sensible breeder, who has successfully bred out the aggression over generations.

This is why decades ago when Dobermans and German Shephards received negative press for the numerous attacks, those involved in the breed made it a point to breed this aggression out as best they could, and for the most part, they have done a reasonable job.  This will never happen with pitbulls, the favourite breed of dog linked to scumbags, and no amount of well meaning breeders can fix the problem.  I can show you pics of children laying with Pitbulls, who were killed not long after the photo was taken, pictures of children with dangerous breeds of dogs is not proof that the dog is safe, I can show you pictures of children with Lions and Crocodiles, doesn't make Lions and Crocodiles safe for humans to co-exist with.  The following is a recent photo of a couple holidaying in Africa, moments after this photo was taken, the Bull rhino charged and speared the woman leaving her with collapsed lung and broken ribs.  Photos mean nothing!

Why would you slap a cat in the face?  That's weird and cruel.  No wonder the cat scratched you, it obviously could sense that you are cruel around cats and didn't like you.  No animal deserves to be hurt or mistreated.  There are no excuses ever!

Exactly. No excuse whatsoever to be cruel to an animal unless its in self defense or your life is in danger. I remember watching a tv segment where the vet said a dog or a cat never learns from being hit they have no idea what they did two seconds after it happened. An animal will Only learn from being rewarded when its good. A cat will never usually attack someone for no reason unless its been provoked. I'd say if someone can't treat an animal with respect then they shouldn't have one at all or be around one. Every pet deserves a loving home where its safe from predators and can live a happy life with people who raise it the "right" way not hitting or slapping. That's just not. No way. Not ever.

Agreed. An animal will always respond much better to reward rather than punishment. People who think using ANY form of physical violence to intimidate or control an animal has serious mental problems. Its a well known fact most serial killers, wife beaters, pedophiles, and rapists start off by torturing and abusing animals. That's why there are laws against abuse and protection of animals. Ive got no time. patience, or tolerance for weak mongols who go around hitting something weaker than themselves. Just weak fucking bastards.

It doesn't matter if it can bear the weight of a dirty Muslim and it's filthy child while the owner is pulling tightly on the lead.  The fact is, the animal has no choice, how about a group of getbiggers come around and throw a lead on you and sit on your back and take photo of you like the circus freak you are!  If you had any respect for animals, you wouldn't use them for your own personal playground!  You Filthy Muslim scumbag!

Ive had cats my whole life you IGNORANT ass wipe. I currently have two, had one before that for 12 years. I'd know a hell of a lot more than you do by the sounds of it. Your kid treats that cat like its a fucking doll. And you are the ignorant one here if you think the animal is not being hurt, how do you know its not being hurt? Can you ask it of its in any pain? Or that it likes being thrown around like a rag doll by a two year old feral brat. Wake up to yourself!
The cat was clearly just tolerating it because it has obviously a lot of patience. That kid has no respect for the animal and I can see why given the fact that you think its behavior is totally acceptable. If that kid were mine I'd let it know quick smart that that's not the right way to handle an animal. You need to teach your brat some manners and the proper way to handle a pet otherwise give it to a home where the cat can be loved and treated with some respect.

Yeah and you consider a kid smothering an animal to death treating it like a doll completely acceptable. You're a POS who likes to control animals because it makes you feel like a big man. You don't love animals at all shit face they're meerly there for your own sport and  entertainment. That was evident in those videos that I saw. You're nothing but a cruel, sadistic asshole and irresponsible pet owner who doesn't deserve pets (dog or cats). I hope that cat scratches the hell out of that feral evil little brat of yours and teaches it a real lesson. That kid is being taught to be a sadistic prick and nothing more. In the State of California tormenting an animal is actually classified as cruelty and there are legal ramifications against it. If you knew anything at all about cats its that they're vastly different to dogs and don't like being handled roughly. It can cause damage to their internal organs if held the improper way. As for dogs they are NOT meant to carry large weights on their back. You could cause serious injury to both their back or spinal cord. Most dogs can only carry about 10% of their body weight. Anymore also puts pressure on their joints.
You come from a different culture quite obviously where you think its okay to treat animals with very little respect or kindness. You're an abuser and nothing more (you're just a different form of abuser) and ignorant of what actually constitutes animal abuse.

Also something to think on... children as young as four have been known to harm animals.

My son was being cruel to our cat. He would sit on him and squeeze him and just be mean to him. I woudl repeatedly tell him not to do it because it was hurting the cat. Finally I told him, if he is going to continue being mean to the cat I will find him a new home. He was still mean so the cat got a new home. He was upset but I explained to him why we had to rehome him. I told him, if at a later time, you think you can be nice to a cat, then we can get another one. Until then the answer is no more pets.

wont answer your shit back because euro monster asked us kindly to keep his board clean and i gave him my word..

but seriously you need to educate yourself about animals more.. as for the video my son was around 2 and my wife asked him to hug the cat and kiss her then when we found him sleeping over her i immediately separated them.. check the video again ::).. he is now 5 and sure he has stopped sleeping over her the same way and as i said i am sure she loves him very much and doesnt consider him dangerous because she comes to him all the time to play together.. if she was/is hurt she was going to avoid him..

i wont comment on dogs strength and how much weight they can carry,.. you can easily search on the net and correct your wrong info.. and as i said it was only for few seconds and the dog didnt seem to be annoyed at all..

and why is the hate??..why dont you say your opinion/advice in a good way??.. you find yourself a good man who cares about animals right when you say shit about a 2 years kid and send a hatred message to his father saying you want to hit the kid :-\.. can you see how sick you are??..

Probably have to agree with you, but if a cat scratches my nephew be damn sure I'm not going to sit there and let it happen. I've heard cats can't be discipline through physical means. Reminds me of a story of a friend of mine who use to bang this older bitch on her bed while the cat just sat there and watched. Truth be told he thought she had something sexual with the cat, anyway got sick of the cat just sitting there and staring and slapped the fuck out of it hard. Guess what cat never sat on that bed again. lol

ok i understand you were born with animals and your house was like a zoo but this doesnt make you know more about animals or have the talent to deal with them.. jimmy is my first ever dog but i am sure i deal with dogs much better than you..

seems that living all your life with animals has made you an animal ;D

pitbull and american bully have become very popular especially the later.. but not for dogs fights as you may think.. dogs fights are not popular here and is very limited..
