Last tourney was a mixed bag. Underperformed and lost the first game. Hung over and lost the second, and then easily won 3 and 4 playing to form. Left knee got totally jimmied. Wear and tear, age, or a bad step - who knows. Feels like there is nothing between the bones in my knee. Hope to see you guys next year.

40-farkin'-6. And I feel it these days. It's like I aged 10 years in the last 2 weeks. Ah well, in a couple of weeks curling season (don't ask) begins, and it's gonna be interesting.  :-\

meh, you got at least 14 more years of game.

On each one of my teams we have a guy who turned 50.  One is the 2nd fastest on the team with a cannon arm, and the other is still playing elite SS and hits the ball 340+.

Use the winter to get back in shape, then get ready to hit it again in the spring.

Thanks for the encouragement! I don't know about 14, but another 5 would be nice. Gonna try to make my down-time as idle as possible to try to get some cartilage relief. I think all the tourneys and multiple games per day on dryish fields took a greater toll than I thought. I'll go down fighting, regardless.

Didn't get it done in the first game.infield didn't play well and didn't hit enough.
other team hit very well.lefties and righties that hit to the other field and they put out 6 though only 3 count.

1-3 with a 3 run homer.

Nice. Getting some good runs helps one sleep at night, tho.     :)

Thank you, buddy.  My son does clinics all winter.  The cages were ridiculously tempting Saturday.  I almost broke rehab and went in.....

I agree - Little league is supposed to start in something like 1.5 weeks.   Right now, school is delayed 2 hrs.

Yup. We've got flurries forecast 'til the weekend. Are ya kidding me!? Picked up what I hope is a replacement for my favourite of favourite bats. It's called 'The One' by Demarini. I'm hoping it's half as good as the Juggernaut/J3. Heard anything? Grape?

I have never used The One.  Generally, before considering a bat, I go to the site below.   They're pretty good, IMO.  Youtube videos too.

My industrial league provides bats now so teams can't cheat - Easton Synergies, mostly.   Other league I use the booger green Worth bat, but it's a little end heavy, and I like balanced bats because I find them easier to control to all fields.

Nice you can use your own bat.
