I'm terribly sorry to hear about your father. There's so much sickness in the world and it's incredibly unfortunate. Here it is:
Since my father was diagnosed with cancer, I've become more and more conscious of the importance of trying to sustain my health. As a bodybuilder, it's no secret that you sometimes push your body. But even if I wasn't a professional bodybuilder I, just like anyone else, am exposed to various things that can be detrimental to health; various chemicals present in food packaging and the food itself, toxins and chemicals in the air we breathe and the water we drink, various forms of radiation, heavy metals etc etc. There are plenty of people who will never drink any alcohol never do drugs and try to take care of themselves the best way they know how and still end up with something like cancer. So I think routine detoxification is something that everyone living in the modern world should practice because I think toxicity has a great deal to do with many if not all diseases. Of course, there are examples of children who, at very young ages, develop cancer or leukemia etc and they certainly haven't had enough time to "mess things up". I'm sure that, as with anything else, there is a genetic component. But taking steps to reduce the impact of toxins, radiation, heavy metals etc can only help. Considering the current state of things, no one is capable of avoiding all these things. The best thing anyone can do is try to minimize them and then take steps to help their body deal with those things.
Here's what I've been doing since the Olympia:
1. No performance enhancing supps. NOTHING. Not bridging, not coasting...OFF.
2. Easing up slightly on food consumption. Seeing as I'm not currently preparing for a show or in a full on offseason mode, it makes sense to reduce food intake proportional to my needs. I don't believe eating a lot of food is "bad" for you so long as it is UTILIZED. When food isn't being utilized because there is no NEED for it and your digestive system becomes taxed, then I think there is a potential for problems.
3. Systemic enzymes. I've been using a hefty dose of these every day. They are not digestive enzymes but they are proteolytic enzymes meant to be taken on an empty stomach and are enteric coated so they are able to make it through the stomach and get delivered into the blood. There they act to "clean up" your blood; digesting crap floating around in your blood. They help to balance inflammation, improve circulation and increase immunity. No joke, I've been sleeping really well, my energy is improved and when I'm training, I keep my pump the entire workout and have significantly less pain during training.
4. Essiac Tea. I drink hot cup of it each morning and night. It's a combination of herbs that helps encourage elimination/detoxification.
5. Chlorella + Cilantro + Garlic. This combo help to clear heavy metals from the body. I take 6 chlorella tabs 2 x a day, throw handfuls of fresh chopped cilantro into my rice along with oil that I infuse with raw garlic( I crush a few cloves of garlic and let them sit in olive oil overnight)
6. An apple a day. No matter what, I always have an apple each day.
Ample water intake, enough rest, and generally doing the best you can to lead a lifestyle that is in line with your goals goes without saying.
Of course, Pak and Omega are staples in my diet and I keep them in at all times.
There's no way to know how beneficial this protocol is for me or anyone else. But it makes sense to me and I do believe in the power of the body to repair, cleanse, detoxify, heal etc itself if supplied with the right things.

I am 5'8 and about 245 here..
I have been breaking out bad I don't know why the last week.. Nothing has changed supplement wise, but I have had more than extra stress so I wonder if that could be it.
My hairline looks bad in the pics because I am blonde and how I "wear" my hair

I feel pretty good at this weight actually. I still have "ok" abs and feel functionable. I am not sweating and breathing heavy lol.. The weight is easy to maintain without force feeding too. I was 260s two months ago and felt god awful. Now I have no real "show" in my mind so maintaining is easy now and enjoyable almost. Once all is said in done with bodybuilding and i give it up lol, Id like to maintain 220-215 leaner than I am now.

Yeh dude, go down to 225-30 even now, you'll feel much better. I know you are doing big lifts but you can't do them forever you'll have to stick with higher reps or lighter weight and higher reps at some point. You are fairly lean but 15 pounds will make a massive difference.

Evan was cool too.. I was just standing there with him for like 5-10 minutes lol, and I guess a pic was just needed. Saw antoine valliant at the strip club last night lol, hes the man. Didn't really talk to a lot of male pros this year.. Saw Ron Avidan though :D
My hair will always get destroyed on here lol.. I am told I look a lot better and have a full head of hair, but the pics always say otherwise I guess lol. I use to always buzz my hair for years, but recently switched it up.
I know I am probably delusional as shit, but the pros I did see(I didn't see a lot of the HUGE guys).. I didn't feel much smaller than most of them, besides for some reason their arms all looked fucking massive and separated. Most didn't look thick at all or big to me other than arms. I know if I stripped down and posed down with them(probably some schmoes dream) I wouldn't be saying this though. I've probably met 40 male pros over the years.. and actually trained with one for over a year, who really made me feel like a small piece of shit in the gym lol

You got a good base. Incorporate 25 minutes of HIIT intervals on an exercise bicycle, elliptical or treadmill twice a week to help shed some bodyfat, and you'll look even better in a t-shirt.

1 - The strip club sucked tbh.. A lot of girls, but all VERY average to below average. We joked how bbad it was at the expo the next day. Some girl wanted $150 for a 15 minute lap dance and I laughed in her face. I have banged some nasty girls in my day and if I banged her she'd be top 5.
2. Amanda Latona dates either a pro MMA fighter or boxer(I forget which) lol. So lets just imagine I had a chance and we did talk, I probably would get murdered.. although it would be worth every second.
3. I am 240-245, I still have visible abs. My face gets fat. I competed at 215lbs and want to be 225lbs if I compete again. If I wasn't competing I wouldn't be bulking really... I do feel very comfortable at this weight, even though you guys might not think I do. I was up to 260 a few weeks back and thought I was gonna die and toned it back. I need to keep adding size, I have a bigger structure for my height so even me at 215lbs on stage looks small as shit compared to some guys. I am keeping it within reason though and not going complete ape shit or I'd be 275.

big guy,,,at 215 u looked big,,everyone can improve especially trying to be npc dog,,u will always face someone bigger,better,structure ,i think u carry great size just get it fine tuned all around ,,look out.

No we are broken up.. Things were off and on for a several months, but things are completely done now. Now my goal in life is to be a complete degenerate and sleep with every woman possible, which may be reason enough to diet :D. It feels extremely good to be single. Before when I was just on a "break" and yea i could still bang girls and of course I did but it was tough when u had the other chick still around and still cared a bit about with her sucking you back in. Now she's blocked from every form of contact from me and I feel FREE.

I have been breaking out bad I don't know why the last week.. Nothing has changed supplement wise, but I have had more than extra stress so I wonder if that could be it.

where did I say that? I didn't meet 40 pros this weekend but have since 2007. The ones I met this weekend didn't make me feel small at all, especially any of the 212 guys. I didn't see guys like Kai who would.. I'm not saying I'm bigger than them but their size isn't as impressive to me anymore and I don't feel like a little kid next to them anymore. I'm not saying I can be some IFBB pro

the older I get the less bodybuilding matters to me, although I am still making great gains. I have no aspiration to do a show soon. I also realize how fucked this industry is and want little to do with it. I'm not gonna lie if men's physique was around when I first started bodybuilding I would have done that I bet. That was the initial look I wanted. I love working out and competing for something but you know it's not everything
