I was thinking the same thing when I look at his skin. Ric took roids for years. I know he's on TRT too. Not good for the heart over the long term. Good guy though, I hope he pulls through.

Seems like a good dude. He was one of the few that made some money from bodybuild. Still, he never looked good with the steroids he took. Should've stayed natty and wore sun block and would probably have lived to 100. He's a strong dude though I think he will beat this for awhile.

Fyi, the cutoff age for a heart transplant is 65. So if he's 72 that's not going to happen.

jeez people. We don't know the extent of his condition. Thousands of people suffer with congestive heart failure. You can live a long time with it. You r typically prescribed rx and must watch your diet and no salt. And yes lungs filling with fluid happens when your heart gets weak. Heart rx and diuretics r the regimen. Ric may have a lot of good years ahead of him.

When you have congestive heart failure to the point of fluid collecting in your lungs it's deadly serious. He even said in the video tape the doctor said if he doesn't get to a hospital he was going to die. Of course none of us know the extent of his condition but congestive heart failure again is serious.

For those with advanced heart failure, up to 90% will pass away within one year. When asking how long can you live with congestive heart failure, those at a moderate stage will average ten years."

Because with the right doctor and the right price, you can have pretty much anything.
There is no law in the US that limits the age of when you can get a transplant. In terms of age limits, it is possible that some public hospitals in some States have limits. Possibly also limits exist under some insurance
policies. But not the case for private.

As I said, there is no prescribed age limit for heart transplants. It's not 65. It's not 70. And it's not 80.

Yeah, it's the very last resort apparently and they only give them after a person has had stents and other procedures. The rejection period is what kills people apparently because the body rejects the new heart. Plus they must lower the immune system for the whole process so the body doesn't reject it.
Think it's crazy how they let the person get to their weakest though and then make the decision to put them on the donor list.

Same here. For the greater part I've enjoyed the few videos of his I've watched. Right now Ric's scared and I don't blame him one bit as what he's going through is the ultimate reality of life.

Since the release of films of him pounding Ken Sprague's dirtstar or face, Ric has been silent on the subject of his film glory (hole) days, other than to supposedly claim he was blackmailed (blackmaled?) into doing them and that they were to remain in the soiled hands of some "private collector". He should just own up to being a typical lazy bodybuilder of the 70s and claim to having to have a female fluffer on the sidelines to keep his weenie erect.
His series on the "Golden Age of Bodybuilding" is still good with the exception of the one on sex. Now that we know he was porking men on film, it kinda takes away from the entire thing.

I no longer pray but I do wish him well. But making those films was a mistake. It has to be difficult putting being in another man's behind, behind you. Unless of course you are homosexual and that is what you prefer. But making a film of it? That is just being a whore.

I just no longer pray. As for making mistakes in his youth and who Ric is now in his seventies, I would say he's a very (and rightly so) embarrassed septuagenarian.
But again, his Golden Age stuff is good. He just needs to get rid of that one on sex in the 1970s, LOL!

Ric definitely was lazy, but he seemed to be in the right places at the right time. He became a SAG member, he made commercials, was in TV shows and several magazine ads.
I think the main reason why he made the gay porn was because he paid a large sum of cash. Nothing else makes sense.
