I look much worse.

When i was 30, i was in good physical shape, looked like i was 25.

When i was 35, i started aging a bit, but still decent physical shape, looked like my age, 35.

When i was 40, (lot of things happened between 35-40), and i looked like i aged dramatically, looking like 50+ at 40.

Yeah --

but in the job market, over 32 is now considered old
in the sense that you better have a fuckton of experience or multiple degrees
because if you're just starting off in your field or just graduated
they'll put your resume in the paper shredder
so I'm told by a bunch of 30-somethings who slacked off until they were my age

5 years ago i looked like utter shit, skinny from severe colitis but with a bloated moonface from prednisone and rarely shaved or got a haircut.
I look at photos from then and think i looked fuckin liftin and would never let myself go like that again.

I look better now at 36 than I did 5 years ago at 31 - hairline still the same, no grey, skin much improved. Difference is 5 years ago I was coming off gear and I was bloated from the test and dbol, covered in backne, depressed, and had a foul temper to match. I'm a much better person now.

but all your gains?

I weighed about 235 back then full of bloat.

I weighed 227 this morning with the most visible abs I've ever had in my life.

I would say I've recovered.

you are natural?

or "trt"

wtf 227 ripped

i'm on steronz and only 202lbs not even ripped

I didn't say I'm ripped. I'm fairly lean, maybe about 12%.

Not on anything anymore, never had trt - I'm not even sure that's an option in the UK.

Clean, but not a lifetime natural.

Sadly worse...a lot worse 5 yrs ago I was lean and jacked to the fucking gills.

Now I'm fat, out of shape and drugfree but still strong as shit. I did 315 for 40 reps on bench touch n go (no bounce) to a full extension Weds night with a gimpy elbow. So guess you gotta give and take my best had been 37 prior to that which I did bout 5 yrs ago Hahahah!!!

You actually look pretty young for being 40. Of course you're a fat tub of lard now so that will age you soon.

X2, life is wayyy better without gear. After being on for 4 years straight, I decided to quit injecting all this shitty medicine in my body because I didnt care about physical perfection anymore and started to believe I could invest the time I spend into that into something more productive

People always say that gear make them happier and feel like a god alpha blablabla.. This is bullshit, when you come off after a while, you feel reborn, stupid things do not get on your nerves anymore and you're feeling great all the time.. And surprisingly, if you continue to eat well, use clomid for a little while after, and maintain a decent training, you will not shrink, unlike the internet bodybuilding gods tells you.

You will drop around 15 pounds, probably less if you've been using compounds with no bloat. But most of that will be water and you will actually look better in the end lol I shit you not, unless you're a pro using tons of gh+peptides and stopping everything then of course that is different but you get the point for normal people

good for you for getting your shit together.

Lovely stuff! (sarcastic)

5 years ago I was either bloated from prednisone, dehydrated from salazopyrine or miserable from methotrexate. Again morbid obese (BMI was 34), had clawed hands, swollen joints, walked with a severe limp (rheumatic arthritis), had a burn out or depression. Looking good was not a priority...

Now, at 36 I look even better than I did at 16. Slimmed down to a BMI of 22, full of happiness, off medication and able to exercise.
I even had to ID when I wanted to buy a alcoholic beverage, because the sales clerk did not believe I'm over 25.  ;D

i had to do the methotrexate shit too, first the tablets then the weekly shots. Horrible drug like the prednisone, the methotrexate receeded my hairline i think.
Glad to be rid of all that.

I was in much better shape 5 years ago. Work and family took over training and diet.
Getting back to it now though

I also went from mtx tablets to shots; the tablets weren't strong enough and we could not up the dose any further. The shots were painful and left ugly black necrosis spots on my belly, but I hungered for them as if I were a junky. They did help to ease the pain and swelling. Switched back to tablets again when I had to switch to a different brand of shots with blunt and crooked needles...
My hair thinned out a bit and clogged many a drain. Still have enough on my head to make a decent pony tail or braid. Or to dye in unlikely colours like blue or purple.

The high dosed prednisone shots were a mixed blessing. The first week I was as sick as a dog, but the following six weeks a felt as if I were super girl.  :D

Still, I'm glad that's all over!

Physique the same, stay lean and holding size, def better muscle quality than 5 years ago.

Face looks the same, sometimes i wonder if i'm aging faster because of working a lot but i don't do any drugs or drink/smoke at all and i look in the mirror and barely age.

I look a shitton better now than five years ago. In fact I haven't looked and felt better, and haven't been this healthy, in the preceding 20 years. My goal is to be even better at 45 than at 40.

Those methotrexate shots hurt a lot, always had bruises. Never understood why the needle was so long for sub cut shots. I used to dread every wednsday knowing that shot was imminent lol.
