Title: Unwanted European perspective on presidential elections (other Euros, opinion!)
Post by: Moen on November 06, 2012, 09:39:39 PM
Even though Republicans are many in number, and Obama maybe didn't do so well the last 4 years, this was bound to happen.

Mitt Romney is an absolute farce of a candidate. I would honestly be surprised at the number of votes he is still going to get.

To us, he looks like a total clown in everything he says and does. One of the many religious numbnuts America has to offer. The worst candidate I've ever seen.

This explains the obvious loss. Even America isn't that stupid to let a fool like Romney win.

Thank you

apparently you can't remember 4 years ago... mitt, as much of a joke as he may be, is a thousand times more likable than that decrepit buffoon mccain.

Why is that so?

Why would likeability make him a good president?

Obama is already the worst president of all time

Reelecting him twice = America = dumbest country in the world

Though I think this country is screwed either way, I am very glad a religious nutjob is not in office.

He's not great but he's FAR from the worst president we've ever had.  Even Bush wasn't the worst we've ever had.

Obama has had, and will continue to have times against him. He's been in office in a global financial collapse and it probably won't get better anytime soon.

He can only do what he can do to salvage.

I of course don't expect Americans to understand this, that would be racism on my part.

Not Asia, its still emerging and with the attack on wealth from western governments to feed their over populated lazy dumb poor lower class, will mean many more people of wealth will move themselves and their money to their countries for opportunity, its happening now, they are not moving there to open and run businesses but to enjoy a way of life where they are not persecuted for being wealthy from success. The west is dead, long live the East.

Emerging Asia is mostly China. You do know China (which you are mostly talking about), is a communist-led country?

That means everyone marches along in formation, and wealth isn't possible... at all. Their American wealth would be redistributed among the many poor Chinese.

India is also emerging strong but India is... also socialist! Also, Indian companies or Indians are manifesting themselves in the rest of the world, not vice versa.

Just goes to show what Americans know about the rest of the world. Nothing  :D

You do realize nearly every country on the planet is socialist in some form or another. Even the almighty usa, has a trillion dollar military. Do you think investing millions of government dollars into job creation like that isn't somehow a contradiction, and no you cannot  blame the dems.

Anyhow fuck american's thinking there all gonna get rich in asia, most simply cannot compete in  asia. Asians want white folk to go over so they can copy our skills and replace us over there with someone making half the money.

from a european perspective(mine anyway) obama has been pretty disappointing , there was a lot of talk when he came to office about changes in foreign policy and the US adopting a less warmongering stance. obama also talked about getting tough with israel, then i saw him in an interview with netanyahu and he was like a little child being dictated to.
like franco columbo getting advices from arnie!

so nothing has changed, the US is still warmongering and israel is still running roughshod , but i suppose from a foreign perspective he is slightly the lesser of two evils.

India and especially China might be a bit more socialist than the US ;)

I have to admit, I didn't follow his last 4y so I can't comment on them.

My point wasn't that Obama is good in any way (I don't know if he is), my point was: he won because the other guy is downright terrible.

It's probably to a large extent because of Obama-hate (instead of Romney-love) or racism in general that Romney still got as many votes as he did.

Well, what choices do they have???

If they really have to stoop so low as to pick a black president, that tells you alot about the OTHER candidate(s).

When there is a white moron and a black moron, you pick the white moron, but in this case, Romney was such a dreadful choice that they even settled for an african slave to lead the country!

That says HEAPS about Romney. Can't even win over a nignog.

A lession learned, NEVER involve religion or any religious background in presidential elections.

tbh i remember obama coming to europe on some kind of tour prior to the last election and the reception he got in most countries was like that of a superstar. i think the belief in europe was for a black man to get in the position he was in, he really had to be someone of greatness, who was gonna put right a lot of wrongs in the world...they even gave him an noble peace prize in oslo! lol prolly want it back now!

as its turned out it looks like he is a very astute politician with an excellent public persona but nowhere near the man of greatness as i think was the expectation in europe.
