That should tell you something about who pro, amateur, and wannabe bodybuilders are pumping and flexing for.  Here's a hint: it's not for women.

Don't they?  You have a lot to learn.  Why do you think women wear so much make up, get their hair done, fingernails, and other kinds of primping?  It's not for men; men do not care about that stuff.  Women do it to impress/rival other women.  By the time one is taking injections up the bum and going to other extremes to look muscular it is certainly not to lure women.

Bay is about 95% right on the money when it comes bodybuilding. I bought a few mags years ago and my G/F would say, "Doug, are you gay or a fag?" No offense Bay. There is a very small majority of women who find Bodybuilding appealing....a very small percent of women. Me and my G/F would fuck like bunnies and i would read some shitty article and she would take it away from me and every girl i have ever been with or dated has said, "Who the fuck would wanna look like that?" It does not appeal to the majority of women.  I do not know if all Bodybuilders are gay, but it would not shock me that most are.

Don't they?  Much to learn you still have . . .  

By the time one is wearing a thong (or daisy dukes, etc.), posing for muscle gallery, private posing in hotel rooms, making other lusty “lifestyle videos” or outright pornography you are certainly doing it “to be sexy for other men.”  Here are just two examples of what I mean.

By the way, this goes all the way back to Eugene Sandow.  If you want to plead ignorance fine, but you accomplish nothing by remaining in denial.  Eugene, Arnold, Gunter, etc.  All have peddled themselves to men.

Naming anyone "the hottest" would be controversial; beauty is in the eye of the beholder after all, but after consulting with the gay gliterai, and a number of women, I can now name the top three.  They are not necessarily my personal favorites, but I am not tone deaf to my constituents; their voices count.  The winners are: Bob Paris, Kevin Levrone, and Gustavo Badell (probably--but not necessarily--in that order).

It is a historical irony (some would say fitting) that an openly gay man would emerge as the hottest bodybuilder of all time.  For anyone else, putting your shirtless physique on the cover of a book and titling that book "Flawless" would be the height of arrogance, but Bob manages to pull it off with credibility!  Yes, he would go on to be a outmassed by a subsequent generation of bodybuilders, but the lines of his physique (not to mention his face) set a standard that no one can eclipse.  Like Eugene Sandow before him, Bob's pulchritude was so voluminous it spilled over onto his partner Rod Jackson.  Before Bob, Rod was little more than an average guy.  After Bob, Rod joined the first tier of hot men.  Having that effect on your partner is pretty impressive.  Remember that coffee table book of Bob and Rod photographed by Herb Ritts?  Wow!  

At his peak, everyone wanted to look like Bob Paris.

He could pack on muscle with the best of them, and with that bulging package (real or not) he served up many a fantasy for many a schmoe.  I happen to know that he was a particular favorite among industry insiders, but no one can say he didn’t earn his place in the pantheon of muscle gods.  All drugs?  His later photos would suggest the answer is yes, but if that’s true then there is hope for all of us.  Thank god!  (Or at least it helps to think so.)

He wasn't near his peak when he did it (and he would later go on to deny it) but Gustavo did pose for musclegallery.com (his pix are no longer available there) and it is easy to see why.  When his game is on Gustavo looks like a statue come to life.  And that booty!  'nuff said!
