Why doesn't the UFC...
« on: May 25, 2010, 09:04:31 AM »
Invest some of the crazy money it earns per show back into the programme and create an visual/audio like Pride did?!!

instead all these lame fuckers can focus on is how to fit more sponsors logos into the octagon before they start overlapping.. wouldn't it be cool if the top MMA fight promotion had a real kick ass entrance, ramp, themes, music, lighting, etc. ?!!? It couldn't possibly be that much more to do, instead we get the same mediocre shit for every event.

The UFC pays out roughly 1-3% of the revenue made on a card in fighter salaries and the rest goes into Dana White and Co.'s dirty pockets. They're concerned with their bottom line and only their bottom line. Anything that costs extra money has next to no chance of happening.  :-\

IMO because this would take up too much time on broadcasts. They would rather air more fights and this adding these circus shows would make it very unpredictable as to how much time to allow.

You should watch the WWE bro.  They do all of that shit there.  For me, I would be pissed if any of my PPV time was wasted on stupid shit like that.  I like MMA for the sport, not the hype and BS.  I rather them do what they do.  Use the extra time to fit in some of the good prelims.

Really?  Did you get a look at their balance sheet?  moron ::)

How are they growing the org/UFC then? Please post a source showing these 1-3% numbers are accurate.

According to BF, the UFC is just growing by magic.  There is no money being invested in promotion, marketing, licensing, sanctioning, etc.  ::)

Did you seriously just make the same exact post on your main account and gimmick within 2 minutes of each other? You're not even trying to hide it at this point. Pretty embarrassing for a 40 year old man. :-\

Part of the reason I posed this question is because of the owners (Fertita brothers) made their money in Vegas with Casino's which are all about flash, lights, neons, audio/visual presentations and so on, it seemed logical to me that they would spruce up the live show and make it fun to watch not the same lame ass shitfest it's always been.

That was part of what made Pride so amazing, the electricity, the crazy light shows, big themed entrances down a ramp it was just cool, has nothing to do with WWE type shit, that's ok mindspin we know you still think wrasslin's real  ::)  ::)

It's nothing short of miraculous that you both consistently manage to pop up at the same time. Sorry that you don't possess the intellectual capacity to hide your gimmick.  :-\

The UFC's shows reek of WWE influence as it is.

That's were people like me preferred the UFC over Pride.  Pride was too much like the WWE.  They even made up fake bios for their fighters.  Do you remember how Rampage was supposedly a homeless guy that Pride found on the streets and then they brought him to fight?  That's just not what I like about MMA.  I love the sport and enjoy the fights.  The rest is all a bunch of nonsense to me.

Do the math yourself, Yemeni. Simple arithmetic isn't hard. I'll even walk you through a rudimentary analysis of it. Take the PPV purchase price and multiply it by the number of purchases. Then add up the salaries of the fighters (these are released) and then calculate the percentage of PPV revenues generated that were paid out in salaries. This ignores things like revenue generated through the gate and other things, but you won't find the UFC paying more than 1-3% on almost every card. Bringing up things like licensing fees and what not doesn't mean shit because we're talking about REVENUE, not profits.

Now please move along you embarrassing TUF fanboy.

Bahaha, those graphs are almost identical. The curve is almost the same. The only thing that shows is that you spend more time on your Mindspin account than your WeightPSHR. You two consistently pop up at the same exact time, like you did just now. I'm sorry that you're incapable of covering it up.

I can't believe you just posted that and actually thought it exonerated you. What a moron. LOL.

It will now be assumed that everything you post is entirely fictional and completely baseless. You had your chance.
You spend more time on here back pedaling and calling people names. Why don't you prove yourself?

Find proof or go back to watching your PRIDE DVD's that ZUFFA so happens to own.

Who cares what they pay the fighters.  If the UFC went away tomorrow, most of those guys would still fight for peanuts.  You said Dana puts the rest in his pocket...prove it.

Spin it anyway you want but those account posting times are eerily similar. The curves were just to make it easier to see the similarities. Of course they won't be identical, but it's pretty amusing that two supposedly different people post at nearly identical times.  :)

I'm still here.  Let's play a game shall we?  If I provide you with irrefutable proof that I have no gimmick accounts on GB, including weightpusher, you get permanently exiled from the board (all of GB).  If I can't, then I will voluntarily banish myself.  Deal?
