Welcome to mindspins world - where a guy 6 feet 4 and 238lbs is apparently small!!

These guys cut to hit a lean 265 and are a lean 280+ on fight day.
Still think Fedor is big?

I will say that across most MMA boards, Fedor is not well liked. Most true fans are frustrated that Fedor was not fighting the fights people wanted to see.  Rankings are one thing, but Fedor's antics are very frustrating. Then to top it off, he was ranked #1 while fighting sub-par talent.

He dodged Overeem, and the UFC, then fights Rodgers and Werdum, a #10 ranked UFC reject. Who really wanted to see this fight?

He then loses in the first few minutes of the fight, and spoils any type of match with real HW's in the UFC or with Overeem.

In he end, Fedor screwed us and was exposed. His legend of an era status will remain, but his rankings will rightfully decline.

name the boards hotshot...
actually provide  links to where Fedor is not liked by the majority..

Find them yourself...I have better things to post and say.

Fedor will no longer be ranked #1 in the HW rankings or on any p4P.

Is that proof enough? His time is up, a new era has begun ;D

I'm sorry but I've never been impressed with Fedor.  He looks really dominating against cans and guys that washed out of the UFC.  He's a talented and tough fighter no doubt.  However, it's a fact that he hasn't been fighting the best heavyweights in the world for quite some time.  His resume doesn't read like a who's who, it' more of a.....who?.  I'm not going to say he's all hype but his so-called legacy is overblown.

name one fighter that is more respected by his peers

name a heavyweight with a more impressive resume

you are dumb

That resume is outstanding in regards to Fedor being a legend of his era.
Fedor ruled the HW's for years, but that era is gone now.

Taking nothing away from what he accomplished....Fedor is not the currently the best HW, or is he fighting the fights that most fans want to see.

I think Fedor's legendary status is questionable.  Half of his wins were against guys who were the absolute definition of "cans".

I have exaggerated the talent that Fedor has faced in the past, and even fallen victim to the mystique that was created around him. After refreshing my memory, and analyzing the fighters he faced, I was entirely wrong.

Seriously, he has fought a shit-load of cans from early on as well.  Some were not necessarily cans when Fedor fought them, but they went on to become nothing in the sport of MMA.

Fedor was legendary at fooling people more than anything else.

Earl, I actually enjoy debating with you because you actually put some thought into your points, wrong as they may be.

To me, a record is meaningless if it it padded with a bunch of no-name fighters that have 1-2 fights on their record.  Look through all of Fedor's wins.  MOST were against guys who had 5 or less fights or who lost more fights than they won.  That's WEAK!

I think what made Fedor great, was what he did during his prime years in Pride.  He did face the best guys of that era and beat them (Cro-cop, Nog, etc.).  But, since then, all he did was fight carefully chosen opponents in hopes of padding his record and continuing to cash in.  That backfired on him this weekend.

As I have said before, Fedor was the best of an ERA, but that ERA is over.
Saying Fedor is not CURRENTLY the best is taking nothing away from his PAST achievements, just as his PAST achievements can not carry him forever either.

Hopefully this is clear enough for you. And as MS has stated, I do appreciate the thought you put into your posts. Much better then all the Dick N Ball talk these chumps resort to on here.

for the ufc guy's  ::) ::) ::)

The ufc doesn't have the best heavyweights...

You have a champ with a 4-1 record... that's what you call a padded record...

The Fedor nuthuggers are in denial.  The dude fights cans and UFC washouts and he has for quite a long time.  Any reasonable person would admit that.  His reputation is overblown.

Don't forget the 15+ wins Fedor has over a bunch of no name cans with more losses than wins on their records.
