If they are still testing, how can they confirm?

A local doc was talking about this over the weekend.  Says it is coming to the U.S. and it is lethal.  No cure.  Said the four (or five) leading researchers on this virus were all killed by it.

Haha, more 'scary stuff' from the media.

I guess the 'ISIS' thing is fizzling out now that people realise it's a bunch of baboons dressed in frocks waving guns around on the back of a pickup whilst driving through the desert in a country 90% of people in the world can't pinpoint on a map :D

Haha, I wonder what they'll be pushing next week when this thing fizzle out too.

What's crazy is even the western educated doctors who work over there are catching it.

Shit doesn't add up.

Obama, Two Weeks Ago: 'Chances of an Ebola Outbreak Here ... Extremely Low'
The Weekly Standard ^ | 9/3o/14 | Daniel Halper
Posted on October 1, 2014 at 12:11:10 AM EDT by Nachum

President Obama, addressing the ebola outbreak September 16, 2014 at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta:

First and foremost, I want the American people to know that our experts, here at the CDC and across our government, agree that the chances of an Ebola outbreak here in the United States are extremely low. We’ve been taking the necessary precautions, including working with countries in West Africa to increase screening at airports so that someone with the virus doesn’t get on a plane for the United States. In the unlikely event that someone with Ebola does reach our shores, we’ve taken new measures so that we’re prepared here at home. We’re working to help flight crews identify people who are sick, and more labs across our country now have the capacity to quickly test for the virus. We’re working with hospitals to make sure that they are prepared, and to ensure that our doctors, our nurses and our medical staff are trained, are ready, and are able to deal with a possible case safely.

Wait, i thought they already saved a couple of docs that had come back over with it in the initial outbreak? And thay they had talked about it afterwards?

A man in a Dallas hospital has Ebola, the first human case of the deadly virus diagnosed in the United States, doctors at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Tuesday.

The patient, who is in an isolation unit at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, did not develop symptoms until four days after he arrived from West Africa, officials said at a hastily called press conference at the CDC’s headquarters in Atlanta.

“He was checked for fever before getting on the flight,” said CDC Director Thomas Frieden. “There is no reason to believe anyone on the flight was at risk.”

The Ebola virus is not spread through the air, but through contact with bodily fluids of victims — sweat, blood, saliva and other secretions.

The patient, whom officials would not identify, flew to the United States on Sept. 20, and began feeling ill on Sept. 24, Frieden said.

He sought care at the Dallas hospital on Friday and was sent home with antibiotics, Dr. Edward Goodman of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital said at a separate press conference in Dallas. Goodman said the hospital is looking into why the patient was discharged....

"In West Africa, we are surging the response not only of CDC where we already have more than 130 people in the field, but also throughout the U.S. government. The president has leaned forward to make sure we're acting very proactively there, and the Defense Department is on the ground already strengthening the response," Centers for Disease Control Director Dr. Tom Frieden told reporters in a Tuesday evening briefing.

"Lean Forward" is the slogan of MSNBC and was displayed in the upper third of the screen during the network's coverage of the CDC press conference.

It's 'Not Impossible' Others in US Could Contract Ebola, CDC Head Says
ABC News' Good Morning America ^  | October 1, 2014

The country's top medical official who has vowed to stop Ebola "in its tracks" in the U.S., conceded today that it's "not impossible" that others will contract the disease.

Dr. Tom Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said an extensive tracking process is underway in the wake of the first Ebola diagnosis in the United States, with special focus on the patient’s family and health staff.

“We have a seven-person team in Dallas working with the local health department and the hospital, and we will be identifying everyone who may have come in contact with him and then monitoring them for 21 days,” Frieden said.....

The mutated strain isn't that lethal, this doctor is also not up to date on the latest research, we likely have a vaccine ready to go along with anti-virals I don't think it's another spanish flue or bubonic plauge, if it didn't rape the victim so quickly I would be more worried. I don't think it's worth getting scared over. It's funny, LASSA another virus just like ebola kills so many people, yet no one fears it, I think this has gotten a bit sensationalized.

possible 2nd case of Obamabola

First... Obama? Really? He created the disease now I suppose... You're losing touch with reality there dude.

Second... From the article:

"The director continued to assure residents that the public isn't at risk because health officials have the virus contained."
