Remember the conservative claims led by Sarah Palin that the medicare board in the Affordable Healthcare Act was actually a "death panel" which would make decisions as to who lives and who dies in terms of determining who gets healthcare???
Lower Courts have ruled in favot of this panel and now the conservative Supreme Court has rejected this argument and stated that the Medicare Board can stand as it is in the ACA...another slap in the face to Republicans and the Tea Party who tried so desperately to portray this part of Obamacare as a threat to older Americans in that it would vote to kill certain seniors whose Medicare costs were too expensive...
The Conservatives have been thoroughly repudiated on Obamacare but still continue to make attempts to kill the program even though it shows it brining costs down, and poviding coverage for 24 million additional Americans. This is one of the greatest success stories in American History

Brings costs down for who? I have yet to hear anyone say the cost of their health insurance has gone down. So .07% of the population gets health insurance and the other 99.93% get screwed, great success story ::)

well first of all...people are going to be taxed for services...thats the bottom line...progress has to be paid for.....I have looked at my check every week for years and they take out taxes for medicare.......it benefits a large part of the elderly population....I derive no benefit from it since I'm not old enough ...YET....it helps millions of seniors stay healthy and pays for their healthcare....should we repeal that??????......I look at my check and I see social security taxes being taken out.....doesn't benefit me either since I'm not old enough to collect..YET..again it is the default pension for tens of millions of seniors which allows them to eat, pay their rent and be self-sufficient.....should we repeal that???????

We should, going forward, allow people to decide how they want to save their retirement, instead of taking money out of their paychecks at the point of the proverbial gun. Multiple studies have shown that the average person will have a much larger retirement income stream if the money that goes to social security throughout his career is invested on the market in a 80/20 stocks/bonds mix prior to age 50, a 60/40 mix between 50 and 65 and a 20/80 stocks/bonds mix thereafter.

This is cynical....the retirement age goes up because we are LIVING LONGER AND BECOMING MORE PRODUCTIVE AS WE AGE......a 65 year old man many years ago was truly aged....and truly didn't have much time left. maybe 10 years if he was lucky....Retirees at 65 today may be more like a 50 yr old used to be....Many are active and in good health.....they can continue working and often want to.....
maybe the problem with you is your TOTAL ANTI-GOVERNMENT STANCE....government is not perfect but it does a lot of good.

The critical temperature for structural steel (the temperature where it loses all it’s strength) is
1300o Fahrenheit. The open air temperature of burning kerosene is 1800o Fahrenheit.
In a confined space the temperatures would undoubtedly be higher.
The energy density of kerosene is 130,000 BTU a Gallon. The planes had around 10,000 gallons.
Or to put it another way 1,300,000,000 BTU’s of heat. Enough to weaken the structures holding up the floor
deck and make the floors around the fire start to pancake and start a chain reaction.
As an aside, the space this fuel would occupy would be around 1,300 cubic feet. Or a cube 11 feet on a side.
Edit: Another aside; The design was criticized in trade journals of the period when the twin towers were being built as being unsafe in the event of fire.
