Title: The greatest entertainer ever
Post by: Army of One on December 12, 2012, 06:29:24 AM
Prime Michael Jackson, they found the tape of the Bad Tour concert at Wembley in 88 by accident when searching his home after he died, its largely regarded as the Pinnacle of his singing and dancing, no lip syncing here!.Forget the pedo stuff (likely not true), the weirdness, and just appreciate the greatness!Check the dancing in the 2nd half of the song!

Better in music and entertaining than Jordan was in basketball. IMO, the best all time. I can't watch his stuff now with tearing up a little. I'm glad I grew up in the 80s and 90s to have witnessed his greatness. It breaks my heart he went out the way he did.

Rest in Peace.

To the Germans in this thread.  I was in Berlin, and there was a huge Michael Jackson shrine on some old Prussian statue.  IT spouted off this long conspiracy theory about how it was a set up and how Sony really drove him to bankruptcy to take his songs, and most likely had him killed.  I took a pic of it, it was kind of cool, had candles all over it.  Anyway, what's the story?

yes, he was spectacular.. his music was played everywhere when he snuffed it. made you realise just what top quality songs he's sung. pity that towards the end, all the negatives overshadowed just how truly great he was.

ELVIS STARTED WITH HIM CHANGED THE GAME ALL OTHERS FOLLOWED.

When Elvis got in his forties nobody gave a shit about him, and he was struggling to get his audiences, Jackson at 50 planned 10 concerts in london , the tickets sold out in an hour so they added 40 more, which also sold out and they could have sold more, unfortunalty he died before he could perform.(even though he would have been too sick to perform anyway)Nobody can top that.

" In the space of 24 hours, nearly a million people from around the world registered for pre-sale tickets, enough to fill the venue 50 times over.[25][26] Tickets that had not even been printed were selling on auction website eBay for £300.[19] Sales of Jackson's albums increased following the press conference. Overnight, sales of Off the Wall rose 200%, Bad rose 110%, Dangerous rose 165% and Thriller 25 rose 155%.40 extra dates were added to meet high demand—five of these dates were reserved in their entirety for the public sale.[1]

More than 1.5  million fans caused two sites offering pre-sale tickets to crash within minutes of going online.[28] In the space of two hours, 190,000 tickets were sold.[29] Two million people tried to buy pre-sale tickets in the space of 18 hours.[30] Veronica Schmidt of The Times stated of the reception, "Michael Jackson has floored his critics",[31] while organizers proclaimed it a "cultural phenomenon".[32] It was announced that Jackson would break the record for number of shows performed by an artist at a single venue, which had been set by Prince, who hosted a 21-date residency at the same arena for his Earth Tour."

Everyone seems to think that he never wrote anything and that those couple of examples of co written songs are bogus.

I used to love Elvis when i was a kid, i don't know where that came from, Buddy Holly too, really random.

No, i know it's entertainer, but creating he material does have a role to play otherwise it's only the voice. I suppose comedians, actors are entertainers too, strange concept really.

He also co-wrote All Shook Up and That's Someone You Never Forget. What's wrong with that? Plenty of other singers have co written songs or had their songs written for them.

And yes I do consider actors and comedians "entertainers" too. Why would only singers and musicians be considered?
That is why I consider Elvis the greatest ever, he had the voice, dance moves, charisma, looks, etc. He did songs, movies, etc.

In the end the title "best ever" is subjective and determined by individual taste.

That's what i mean though, he got a co written tag for altering a line in heartbreak hotel, i think it was that song anyway, i read it a while back.

I also do, i worded that wrong i was just musing on what it means to be an entertainer.

Weird. I found him to be out of touch with the world and a legit freak, albeit it may not have been his fault. Its sad what his father did to him and the fact that he grew up out of touch with reality from an early age.

Yeah man, something about him and his music put peoples brains on a higher vibration. He hypnotizes people and I don't think I can say another solo artist has ever done such a thing. Here's what made him special: All races and All ages loved him.  You cannot say that about any other artist to the degree he did it. He was amazing.

Everything points to him being a pedo. Nobody is into kids that much. However, he was recorded many times saying extremely hurtful things about the Hierarchy. So could he have been set up? It's possible. But it may just be that he was a Pedo and he was set up.

Yeah, as time goes on his legend will grow. Even while alive he was the king of pop but what he did at that time for music is insane. No homo, but I'm glad he's not suffering anymore. Dude was more than likely a nutcase to the 10th power. I have friends here in Vegas that have met him that worked at the hotels  here in Vegas.  Of course the story goes he was very eccentric. Perhaps that's what it takes to make music like that.  You think and act different. Anyway, Dude is king of music for me. When I think of music and entertainment, he's the first person that comes to mind.

Not all of his work was great...and again a lot of it was not just his... At some point every artist  produced the best stuff he could and cant invent much more of anything anymore. Between 20 and 30 in general.

Everything points to him being a pedo. Nobody is into kids that much. However, he was recorded many times saying extremely hurtful things about the Hierarchy. So could he have been set up? It's possible. But it may just be that he was a Pedo and he was set up.

I always said he was not... As a parent, no amount of money would keep you from putting a pedo's balls in a vice if they messed with your kids.

The fact that these people took payoffs, in my mind, proves his innocence, not his guilt.

Forget the pedo stuff (likely not true),

Everyone KNEW Michael was a massive PEDO, you would have to be pretty naive to believe otherwise.

The first kid claimed Jackson was circumcised, he turned out not to be.2nd was a moneygrabber, nobody has come out after his death to say he did it to them, all his film star friends who hung around with him at that age have laughed off the notion, including Cory Feldman who was abused as a child and is trying to uncover the pedo society in Hollywood.

It always amazes me how people condemn paedophiles unless they created a song they liked! Check out 6:35 of PART 4, anybody who deliberately denies the Michael was a PEDO because they like his music has serious issues.   Jordan Chandler had reportedly given police a description of Jackson's intimate parts, and the strip search revealed that Jordan had correctly claimed Jackson had patchy-coloured buttocks, short pubic hair, and pink and brown marked testicles, but wrongly claimed Jackson was circumcised, though doctors at the strip search also struggled to tell if Jackson was circumcised. (In other words the guy was a total freak, right down to his genitalia) Reportedly, Jordan had also previously drawn accurate pictures of a dark spot on Jackson’s penis only visible when his penis was lifted. This dark spot was corroborated by the sheriff’s photographer and the District Attorney in sworn affidavits.  Jackson settled with the Chandlers out of court for $22 million. (Innocent men don't pay millions to make something go away)

He peaked with Thriller and hasn't been relevant with album sales or touring for close to 20 years.

Like I said... If a parent lets you BUY THEM OFF for screwing around with their kid, then they are not a fucking parent.

I don't believe any of it on ANY level.

If my kid came home and said something like that, MJ wouldn't even be ALIVE, much less able to pay me off.

^^This.  MJ was the shit early to mid 80s then music left him behind and he went full retard.  Sinatra/Martin/Davis defined a generation for 30 years.  Dean Martin alone had 80 albums!  They did movies, music, TV, Vegas, traveled overseas for military shows.  Elvis defined rock and roll and heralded the mass hysteria of the 60s.

Harold Lloyd...He was a much bigger star than Arnold and for a longer period of time.
That last picture was used at the top of the World Book encyclopedia article on motion pictures.

i'd vote for something less gay

Prime Michael Jackson, they found the tape of the Bad Tour concert at Wembley in 88 by accident when searching his home after he died, its largely regarded as the Pinnacle of his singing and dancing, no lip syncing here!.Forget the pedo stuff (likely not true), the weirdness, and just appreciate the greatness!Check the dancing in the 2nd half of the song!

They weren't allegations, he was actually PLAYING with other peoples children.  You must either have pedo tendencies yourself or be utterly naive to think that a Grown Man has any business sharing a bed with young children that aren't his.  Their is absolutely no need to sleep with boys, no grown man I have ever met does it or feels a need to do it, and if someone in the neighbourhood openly boasted about sleeping with other peoples kids from the neighbourhood, he would be strung from the closest tree by his testicles.  It is utterly mind blowing to think that people still believe Michael Jackson is INNOCENT when his whole adult life was centred around RELATIONSHIPS with BOYS.  He wasn't interested in Women, he wasn't interested in Girls, he was INTERESTED IN BOYS.  This is why he got away with it, he was fully AWARE of how the average citizen was completely in AWE of extreme FAME and WEALTH, he was a master manipulator, of both the MEDIA and the Families of the Molested CHILDREN.  Everyone in his inner circle KNEW of his fetish for BOYS, it wasn't a well kept secret, people don't wan't to believe it because they have to much admiration for him, were sucked in by all the media spin making him out to be some type of GOD and it also makes them feel foolish for Idolising a SERIAL Paedophile (Easier to remain in DENIAL). Everything about MICHAEL JACKSON screams PREDATORY PAEDOPHILE.  If you can't see this, please do NOT have children, your Molester RADAR doesn't work.

How anybody can think Michael Jackson was innocent is beyond me, the man openly told the world he shares his bed regularly with young boys.  It doesn't matter if he lied that he wasn't molesting them, anybody with even half of a brain would be able to put two and two together, unless you feel some deep pressing need to sleep in bed with other peoples children, your point of view makes no sense.  Let's just pretend in some parallel universe Michael wasn't sucking off young boys, do you really think sleeping in the same bed with other peoples children is in anyway appropriate.  Michael Jackson knew how much he could get away with, he was a CLASSIC narcisstic LIAR, he could tell what he could no longer get away with and he would constantly change the LIE, first, it's I like Children, next, it's I just want to help the children, next, it's I want them to stay at my house, next, it's I want them to sleep in my room, next it's I want them to sleep in my bed, next, it's I want to awaken their sexuality and wank them off, and on and on it goes.  Paedophiles like Michael actually want to be caught, he was too chicken shit afraid of jail though, these type of Pedos actually want the world to know and accept them for the monsters they are, they actually would like nothing better than to endorse paedophilia and tell everyone how beneficial it is for the children.  Pedos like Michael are deeply deeply sick and perverted, they are beyond help.
